Booking.com didn't tell us it had a new name! Now called Hotel Louis
Walking distance to Gard Du Nord
Location was not suitable for us. Neighbourhood was very seedy!
Its location for us was perfect as it is very close to Gare du Nord where we caught the Eurostar to London. The hotel is in the middle of upgrading since changing hands in March and the improvements to the interior are already evident. Really good breakfast included with the rate we paid.
Nothing we could think of and we would book here again.
very little attempt to speak English
Staff were very friendly.
Standard rooms were way too small especially with a cot in it.
We tried breakfast in first mornig - was ok, missing more warm dishies. Bread was good. Good location, with metro 10 min to city center. Safe. Sevaral restaurants near. Food store etc. Rooms kleaning every day. Helpful stuff.
Small rooms - not like in the pictures. No chairs on terasse in the morning - that's why we took breakfast outside the hotel. Plastic cups in bathroom - no good at all for "green thinking" hotel.
Comfort hotel for a good price. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were small but fit for our needs with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was self service buffet style, with a reasonable price. Good restaurants (Chez Papa) in vicinity. The greatest thing of all was the line 7 metro station Louis Blanc just across the street.
They were renovating the lounge when we arrived. Towels were poorly absorbent and no hand towels were provided. Wifi quite slow but at least it worked.
The fire alarm wake me up at 6. It was only the toaster!
It's position, and having the Metro so near. We had an excellent corner room on 3, great views of the streets. Tea and coffee in the room very good.
Getting wifi was, nt too easy, two visits to the Desk necessary, but staff very helpful.
We enjoyed seeing our friends whom we met there. There was one really helpful, pleasant person at the desk.
The rooms were so small that my husband and I couldn't pass each other at the foot of the beds. The bathroom was very small, which we could live with, but the tub was very high and getting out of the tub was dangerous because there was nothing to hold onto. Each time I got out of the shower, I bruised my leg badly and one foot would slip out from under me once I got one foot on the floor. Fortunately I didn't fall. We were only given one room key and that turned out to be a problem. I asked at the desk for another key to get into my room when my husband had to be elsewhere and the surly lady at the desk said,"no". After that, I told her I needed to get into the room and she finally asked a cleaning lady to let me in.
Nattportier var trevlig och hjälpsam.
Lite frukost för det priset. Grönsaker!
Unreliable staff: no alarm as requested. I could have missed my train, but luckily a friend phoned my mobile. Fishy: this is the second time I order a taxi through the hotel that takes a longer route costing double of what I usually pay. DO NOT ORDER A TAXI through the hotel. The cab drivers are possibly friends of someone in staff and take advantage of the guests. I will not stay in this hotel again!
Location near station n eateries near station
Staff not friendly . I have to ask two times for my room to clean up. I stayed there 3 nights.
Great location, a minute away from Luis Blanc metro. Lots of local brasseries great for breakfast. Shops, grocers and alike around the hotel. Underground parking facility available for €19 per night.
Very loud street, cannot sleep with windows open, and due to building renovation the air-con was not working. Clean room, and bathroom, but towels does not seem to be linen pressed which gives an impression they are not 100% clean.
Good for the price, as long as you are ok with outdated facilities.
Not as lose to Gare du Nord as I would have liked, very very outdated, tons of construction going on (no ceiling in the main reception area). Smelled like cleaning solution.
location is excellent to Gare du Nord and to Metro. Rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is adequate.
Towels are poorly absorbent. No face towels were provided.
The hotel was only a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est stations, very convenient for Eurostar travelers and those who are taking the train to airport. They were renovating the lounge when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and speak okay English. The room was clean and warm. I would stay again if I visit Paris in future.
They only provided small paper cups instead of proper cups in the room. They didn't provide a hand towel. The cups in the bathroom were plastic rather than normal glass cups.
nice hotel with a nice size room with balcony, Very quite and really good bed.easy access to metro and not far from gar du nord and gar di est station. Breakfast was self service buffet style and very good and a reasonable price.
Area a bit rough and bit to far from the main attractions although the metro was right outside the hotel to take you into paris. but having said this i would stay at this hotel again
It's ok for travelling with the Metro which is opposite the hotel. Nothing fancy and we did not use the breakfast bar, too expensive! Male staff were friendly!
A lady on reception was not very helpful at all, she was abrupt when I tried to explain that we had a faulty kettle, it was not replaced, we asked her twice. Hot water all over the place when pouring and just missed me!The towels could do with renewing. No proper tea mugs, paper mini cups & only 1 teabag pp a day. Customer service could do with improvement. Very noisy, could not leave the window open at night. Room is too small for friends sharing!
Рядом станция метро. В 5 минутах Gare de l'Est
Не было Wi-Fi. Несвежие полотенца.
Great and comfort hotel for a good price! The staff was extremely nice and helped us always friendly and in English. Room was small but fit for our needs very well and free wifi worked well with phone. Also the bathroom in our room was good and clean. The breakfast (must be bought separately, about 9,5€/person) wasn’t diverse but we got energetic start for the day with cereal, orange juice, croissant and coffee. The greatest thing of all was the line 7 metro station Louis Blanc just across the street. Also the train station Gare du Nord was near enough to walk with luggages, less than 1 kilometre.
There is a police station near the hotel, so there came alarm sounds from the street in addition to normal loud noise. So if you request silence to get some sleep I suggest to think twice.
Proximity to train lines and late check out.
Small room, breakfast too expensive so ate in room after going out to get some. Not enough tea/coffee supplies in room.
Small rooms Miserable bathroom
metro entrance across the road from the hotel so it is easy to get around paris
