Campanile Saint-Germain-En-Laye  

It is impossible to get in/out of the hotel. The last bus from Saint Germain was at 9 P.M. and there is no taxi after midnight. So when we wanted to go from restaurant to the hotel at half past 12 P.M. it was impossible. We met only 1 taxi and the man said, that he can´t take us to this hotel. The taxi-station didn´t respond our calls. We got to the hotel with the police. The next day we had a plane at 11:10 in the morning, so we woke up at 8:00 because of the experience from the last day...And we got to the airport at 11:00. We almost missed our plane.

It was a convenient location for Chambourcy where we have family and within easy reach of St Germain en Laye. We needed a base giving clean comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price and it fitted the bill.

We were woken at 6.10am on Saturday by the refuse collectors crashing the bins about while emptying them!!

It is on one of the cycle routes from London to Paris that leaves you about 20miles to do on the last day. It was easy to find and typical Campanille no frills but extremely good value for money. For 30Eu (so 60 Eu round trip) we were able to get us by Taxi to Versailles palace. Looking up many hotels it casts about £100 per room per night more to get any closer in to Paris than this. There are alternatives before this but it makes the last day a challenging run in, if like us you had a 16.15 Eurostar to catch.

Nothing to complain about that we did but we didn't take breakfast because at 9Eu it seemed a bit expensive compared to other continental style breakfasts.

The location is great. The hotel is within walking distance of where I needed to go. Not only is there a restaurant inside the hotel, but there are a couple others next to the hotel to choose from as well. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated too.

Le personnel accueillant, serviable et efficace. La chambre fonctionnelle et agréable.Le sèche cheveux. La bouilloire électrique et son petit plateau . La salle de bain chauffée.Le calme du site. L' absence de contraintes . Son restaurant.

Le système de chauffage des chambres qui se transforme la nuit, après la baisse de la température, en courant d' air redoutable pour les sinus ou les gorges sensibles. Un peu dommage.... Cela doit être mieux en été. Cet hôtel est un peu loin de la Gare rer pour les clients venus sans véhicule.

Muy lejo desde Saint Germain y otros pueblos!cuando he dejado habitacion...recepionista Sheby(?) me lo dicho que necesito pagar 70e mas!este chico no entiende english,espanol tampoco!despues de pedir factura el hombre dicho que todo esta bien...?after check-out,person in recepcion desk (name Sheby?) wanted 70e more!after 5min discussion I asked about the bill....he said,"ok,everything is ok"!What does it mean?
