This is really a classic motel and is a bit like a Premier Travel Inn but with the advantage of a French restaurant on site. Restaurant was a bit pricey for the standard of the menu but allowing for convenience. Rooms super clean and very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

A very convenient location in Calais and ideal stop over en route to the Alps. The room, breakfast and ease of parking were all fine. Staff were pleasant and helpful. It was difficult to choose a modestly priced meal in the restaurant, bearing in mind that this is a fairly low budget stop over.

Location to the Tunnel to the UK. Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Overpriced breakfast. No UK television BBC2 just visible. Noisy, could hear travellers in rooms both sides. Paintwork chipped. Needs to be brought up to date.

In your blurb you promised an extra bed free of charge for children, I put this down as a special request months ago, to be told on arrival at the hotel that they did not offer extra beds. We were therefore a family of five with only four beds. Rubbish end to our holiday.

Good value for money. We have used the Campanile chain many times so we thought we knew what we would get. However the Campanile was the exception to the rule. When entering the room, the heating had been set to 30.c so much for the environment !!!, The room itself was poorly cleaned, the toilet was dirty and the wash basin badly cracked. The menu in the restaurant was totally confusing, when we finally ended with our choice the Lady who was taking our order wandered off halfway through to check in a new guest thus leaving us alone for 15 min.s Not the service we have had from other Campanile Hotels.

Head waiter that was on duty on Friday 28th November needs to sort out his priorities and attitude- he refused to allow me tosit at the table of my choice. In the end I went to an outside restaurant which did allow me to choose where to sit. Enough reason not to choose this hotel again.

For a motel style budget hotel the staff was very pleasant and helpful -- they let us check in early so that I could change my clothes after the early morning ferry crossing; and when my husband dropped a tray of drinks outside our room a staff member cleared up the broken glass very thoroughly. All in all it was exactly what we wanted to explore the area and be near to the ferry. We found it rather difficult to find from the directions given on the website.

Campanile Calais was a perfectly adequate stopping over point on a long journey involving channel ferry trip. We will certainly use it again for an overnight stop. The restaurant offered good food and interesting menu. Rooms needed updating.

Nothing, the room was cramped and out of date including old smelly shower curtain. Our dinner was awful, they had run out of chips so tried to cook crisps!! The salmon not cooked, then returned fried to a pulp, we were not alone in returning our meals and in the end not charged. I will never stay at a Campanile again! See above, I liked nothing about this hotel other than the convenience to the tunnel, but will never choose this hotel again
