in the middle oh the night, some guest began to fighting in the room, made a noise, broken the room'stuff, it was impossible sleeping, and none of the staff, was at the reception, it's crazy
I liked that the manager I spoke with was open to criticism.
The room was filthy, I've never seen such a dirty hotel room before. You could write messages in the dust that could be found on all surfaces. The chrome in the bathroom was so grimy that it resembled plastic. The shower door was clear glass, but besides missing a handle, the doors were so calcified and streaked that they were opaque! There were no towels, the curtains were broken, the headboard wasn't attached to the wall, and the room itself was fairly shoddy. The 'toilet paper' was some industrial roll of paper one might use in a workshop. The hotel itself seems to be slipping into a general state of disrepair and the reception area has a cluttered feel to it. When I went down to speak to the receptionist, a member of the cleaning staff passing through, when questioned dismissed my claims as impossible. I then took the receptionist up to the room and after one look at the bathroom she didn't want to see any more, but tried to make excuses for the staff, leaving rooms for the next day. The hotel is falling apart at all levels and it clearly comes from a managerial level. It doesn't deserve it's three star rating but rather only a single one. I feel ripped off at the outrageous price charged for that hovel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they have cleaned up their act.
Reasonable evening staff and the room was nice
Despite standing next to a sign that read "we speak English" the lady working in the morning did not, this is not by itself a problem however when I spoke French to the girl she seemed confused and shocked that I could and try to get me to speak to her colleague on the phone. All I wanted was to order a taxi and I had to speak to three staff members before one knew a taxi number. I luckily speak French but had I not I feel that I wouldn't have had any chance at getting a taxi at all.
Excellent value for money, location , wifi and cleanliness. Also quiet for downtown location .
The staff was rude, stupid, and unprofessional. There was no wireless internet in my room, as advertised (even after moving me to a room that should have had it). Having no internet in a room, as advertised and promised, means I was robbed of what I paid for. Let alone, any hotel with decency and intelligence knows that not having a fast and working internet connection in one's room, all the time, is the same or worse than not having hot water. The room I ended up having had a shower that was clogged and filled up after being in it for two minutes. The sink was clogged and filled up after two minutes (for two days, the water did not even go down, essentially making it gross or impossible to have hygiene). The staff did not care about helping out with the wireless internet not working or the clogged sink and shower. The one main staff man at reception said about the internet not working: "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't". After I replied that I paid for working internet, all he replied was: "so what do you want me to do?". He and the other staff were absolutely horrendous. The housekeeping staff opened the door of my room every single day while I was still sleeping, without waiting for an answer to whether I was in there or not. This complete invasion of privacy should be almost criminal. In addition, the housekeeping staff disappeared completely in the afternoon; so, after I woke up, they never came to clean my room. So, I had no room cleaned for five days. Again, the man at reception said, about this situation, "oh, they're gone for the day." That's all he said about the situation. I am appalled that the French hotel industry gives this hotel three stars. This hotel is barely one star. Please, no matter what anyone posts positive about this hotel, do not believe it. This hotel is a disgrace and absolutely abhorent.
In the centre of Cannes. Given a free upgrade to room with balcony. Good view of garden. Air con worked well.
Bathroom with cracked sink plus cracked tiles; in BIG need of a refurb. Stale croissants for breakfast. Staff parking across the entrance making it nigh impossible to drive in and out. Car parking area totally inadequate. This hotel does NOT merit 3 stars.
