Hotel Aria is in central Nice in front of Mozart Square, just under half a mile from the beach and a quarter mile from Nice Train Station.
Score from 1074 reviews Very good
Location of hotel in relation to centre city and train station.
Cant say i disliked anything other than bedroom tiny and n need of modernising.
The staff were very helpful, the room (with garden view) was excellent and the location perfect - near the sea and the old town. Top class bed and bathroom. The room had its own lovely balcony for breakfast. The best hotel I have ever stayed in on the Cote d'Azur (of around 20 in total over the years) and one of my best hotel stays around the world.
matrix was comfortable and good location first day staff was very kind and good
We reserved double bed. But they gave twin beds. And the last day's staff was unkind.
My first night there were paid with my credit card without my permission. I was told that I would pay only in the hotel, not by Internet.
Breakfast was very expensive and VERY small. Very disappointing. Hotel said that it had wifi but it did not work the 3 days I was there. Would definitively not go back.
good emplacement near to everythings in nice neigborhood !
internet didn't work
The roome was ok. Price.
I got an idea that he didnt like we had made reservation by Booking.com. Or he was just tired of his work. "View to garden" meant to street. Wifi didnt work.
The location not far from the shops, restaurants and sea front. The bathroom and bed were plain but perfectly functional and comfortable.
My room smelt of cigarettes when I first went in, but it seemed to fade and I didn't notice it later on.
Wifi wasn't working, staff wasn't willing to help, noise from a neighborhood and warm water had a 5 min delay.
beds are very bad! hard and uncomfortable
My sister and I were travelling together and our reservation to a b & b in Nice was cancelled at the last minute. While met a charming couple who were from Nice and recommended The Carlton as a good value and a great location. It was a great location and I looked it up the price was €88.00 per night. When we booked it turned out to be a lot more than what booking.com showed. We were tired and totally stressed out so we took it. Jeremy and another young man that worked the daytime schedule were a delight. Went to a delightful restaurant to dinner called Palmiers and had great service and great food. We liked it so much that we went back two more times for dinner. We loved Nice, visited Monaco, St. Paul Vence and other quaint little places. We enjoyed our six days there. On the 4th day we checked out of the Carlton and checked into a very nice 2 star hotel closed to The Carlton. The hotel is The little Palace and we will do a review for them next. Great little hotel.
The evening staff were not too friendly and not very helpful. Wifi was very poor, they need to train their staff better.
Hotel looks old. The lock at balcony door not working. Noise from next door. Water in sink drained very slowly
This place is a scam: it's named Carlton but it's not a member of the Carlton chain of hotels. You book a double room; you find a twin room; the staff try to explain that "double room" in english just means two people (false); then they try to explain that on booking.com it's not possible to differentiate double from twin (false). The wi-fi didn't work at all; etc
It was near the beach, the castle and a lot of places to eat. The breakfast was good enought.
The bedroom was not as in the pictures. We get a old and bad smells one... If you go there make sure you'll stay in one fronting the main street (the ones that were remodeled). In the next night, we changed for that one and it was better...
Free wifi, nice bathroom, excellent value for money. Very good location as well. I would stay again.
The was clean and the location is good (quiet zone). 5 min. walking to one of the commercial streets of Nice.
Nothing at all. In my opinion, a little bit expensive, but that's what Nice has in summer.
Very poor wifi, no refrigirator
The location was great, 5 min walk to shops and beach. Everything was clean and staff were helpfull.
Wifi was terrible, couldn't get a signal all the time just now and then, very frustrating when trying to book next step of our journey
The location was perfect. Right in the middle to city center train station and the promenade. This was the only good thing about Carlton.
The staff was not kind and the cleaners threw out our personal items because they thought it was garbage. Wifi was horrible and the other fault was construction out front but I guess you can't blame Carlton in that issue.
Great location for visiting the sites. Centrally located for restaurants and shops (pedis train zone) and short distance to train station and bus routes. Very Quiet.
Wireless was free but kept dropping out
The lobby is pretty and it is in a good location
The internet didn't work at night and the air conditioning either.
THe only Thing that was Good in this hotel is THe Location which was Near to THe City Center And THe Old City .
No Internet Connection as written . No laundry in the hotel . It was really unbelievable to take my clothes outside for the laundry
There is an elderly woman is respectable with clients hired one day and upon renewal told me that there is no room vacant and entered on your site and booked rooms were available and the next day when I returned to the hotel at approx 12:45 and found my clothes and Bag at the restaurant and asked her why she said that your time is over
- balcony in doubleroom was extra + for the room, nice view on the street side - lift (and large steps) safe and convenient - good location/old town & beach etc - very friendly staff/good english
