Hotel Carlton  

The staff that I encounteded were very pleasant.

The rating of this hotel should seriously be reviewed, my room was not cleaned very well and I felt uncomfortable sleeping in there. Paint work was chipped, some wood work was rotten and hairs were all over the place from previous guests - I didn't dare look under the bed. Not pretty.

Comfort and spaciousness of rooms. Cleanliness, especially of bathroom and provision of dressing-gowns and slippers. Provision of tea and coffee making facilities, not usual in our experience in continental hotels and much appreciated. Helpful staff, dealing with left luggage on final morning after check-out. Pleasant breakfast-room. Central location also very important.

I have stayed here three times and on every occasion my visit has been very comfortable and good value for money given the central city location. Best of all are the staff who are warm, friendly, concientious and who seem to genuinely want everybody's visit to be a special one. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly

Having stayed at this hotel previously we decided to make it the hotel of choice for our Chritmas holiday in 2011. No complaints as all was superb, again.

A very convenient central location - we visited Lille with friends to go to the Christmas market. We travelled by Eurostar so all very easy being able to walk to the hotel from the rail station. We were also close to the Christmas market and a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

The hotel bar prices were an absolute rip off......

Excellent location in the heart of historic Lille and there is public car parking 100m or so away opposite a large church (St Maurice). Our room was clean and comfortable; breakfast was good but no evening meals are provided - however there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and the one we chose, recommended by the hotel, was very good.

On arrival at the Hotel Carlton I found the reception staf to be very helpfull, the room was very comfortable and well furnished, nice to have tea and coffee making facility in the room, the beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows airconditioning worked fine, The hotel is in a very good position right opposite the opera house and close to most of the designer shops, cafe's,bars and patisseries, the cathederal is only a short walk away and surrounded by lots of other fine historical buildings to explore. I enjoyed my stay at the Carlton and would go back to stay again.
