Unheated swimming pool Limited choice of food on carte
Location (old farmhouse among vineyards). Swimming pool. Off-street parking.
Dinner service was appalling and the food/wine grossly overpriced. We had to wait over two hours to receive our main course (after several reminders) as we had been forgotten. Our request for an explanation was met with a grudging apology & a half-hearted offer of a free glass of wine. It later turned out that two members of staff were off sick and that three serving staff were incapable of dealing with a maximum of 35 covers (this scenario would be ridiculed in Italy or Spain) ! Food was pretentious and there was no choice (except whether to spend a minimum of €40 or €45 per head). A childrens' menu was offered and we were only told that this included either fish or chicken (no dessert offered). We questioned this at checkout and were told the children should have been offered a dessert - needless to say we were refused a discount. The experience proved so disappointing that we did not have breakfast at the hotel - we didn't miss much as this was only a basic continental offering for €14.50 per adult. In the room we asked for an extra bed for which we were charged €26 for a basic put-you -up that was just placed in the middle with little thought. Towels in bathroom appeared at least 10-years old (very threadbare) and far too small for an average adult. Bath location was unsafe - especially for climbing out by anyone with mobility problems. Overall hotel is overpriced and the management did not seem interested in customer care or PR.
The new, 7 course tasting menu with wines was excellent.
Good pool, lovely old property and we'll decorated and clean. Very good food
Limited menu choice only two options and both expensive. No lower priced options.
Spacious, comfortable room.
It was the beginning of the season, so felt rather quiet and formal.
The location was really beautiful; it was hard to believe it was only a short drive from the motorway. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel; both were excellent. We hope to return.
There wasn't anything negative to say about this restaurant/hotel.
Location was terrific in the vinyards
Staff were not friendly. The restaurant was lovely but too formal for dinner every night. Wifi was not reliable in your room.
Very good food
We've spent 1 night in this hotel on the way to the mountains and 1 night to come back to the north of France! And i like all- lservice, ldeco, resto! Next year we ll come back!
Wonderful food, especially for vegetarians which is rare in France. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I always try and stay here on my journey south if I can.
The restaurant food and service were particularly good. We appreciated the chefs offer to visit the kitchen for a personal demonstration on how to prepare one of his special desserts. They are a great kitchen team.
Lovely old building that was clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was fabulous fresh food with attentive staff. The best vegetarian meal I have had and it was not a problem to the chef. We would stay here again.
Menu was 47 euro which was a little pricey, but we got what we paid for !
Resturant and meals were good. Staff were helpful. Excellent chef.
Having to pay an extra 13 euros for a small dog to stay particularly when not informed before arrival was disappointing. Breakfast was too expensive for what you received.
Great food and well positioned for travel to the Alps.
Hotel a little shabby and needing a little t l c.
Food was truely exceptional, and very pleasant staff.
Charming, clean, comfortable old and characterful hotel
Very cosy. Authentic and romantic. Food was very good.
Cosy restaurant with good food and friendly Chef.
Hotel looks tired, staff multitasking so service variable. Breakfast was a joke. Poor service, rotten fruit etc, and expensive. Room only ok because at reduced rate. Staff insisted on taking our cheese and coffee gormound plates away before we had finished, we ended up with food on the table cloth,it was only 9.50pm. We retired to bar and ordered drinks, next day my bill included Hennessy XO at 35euros,I had requested a small Hennessy vsop. Girl on reception did not speak a word of English and as my French is limited I ended up paying for it.
The room The food. The location
Great restaurant and rooms, wonderful for family stay
Setting, Staff, Food
Restaurant expensive, 'Extras' charged at breakfast. Curtains still were not repaired.
Restaurant staff were unhelpful and uninterested in our comfort. it ruined the stay and we will not recommend our friends use it ever.
Excellent breakfasts Friendly staff
No lift and no help with luggage Dinner adequate but limited menu so we ate only once No sign of any management
Nice size of room, good location between Dijon and Beaune. Country experience in Bourgogne.
Staff did not communicate in English well, not too customer friendly, did not have knowledge to share about region or best places to go. Very poorly prepared to work in a hotel. Breakfast not good at all, unbelievable how bad their coffee is for French standards!
Fantastic location with easy walkes to multiple wineries. Also, location was good for day trips. The facility was beautiful and the staff mostly helpful.
