The breakfast buffet was extensive and we were able to fuel up for the marathon walks around the city and not be tempted by every food stand or cafe we walked past for the bulk of the day. The room, although on the small side, was very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal for arriving from CDG airport as it´s possible to walk from Gare Du Nord (5 minute walk) and is very close to the various monuments around the Louvre area (10 minute walk). It´s in a very quiet area off a main street so there was no street noise to disturb your sleep. Ideal hotel for someone looking for bed and breakfast in a good area with a medium comfort level. The lift is small and old and there was no fridge in the room. |

Windows protect well against street noice, nice bathroom, location on a small street facing a synagogue The room badly needs renovation, especially worn wallpapers and very old carpets. For this price you expect a nicer room, even in Paris |

This is a good standard Paris hotel. Nothing outstanding although the staff on reception were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was very good by Parisian standards. We were offered a large room designed for 4 people so we had plenty of space for 2 of us. However, we could see from the plans of the hotel on each landing that nearly all the other rooms are really small - maybe 3.5m by 2.5m - leaving not much room around the bed - so beware! |

Cleanliness of the room was at high level. Room's amenities were excellent. Hotel front desk staff was very prompt and helpfull whenever need an information or support. Breakfast was plenty most of the mornings. Few exceptions (out of stocks) can't shadow the good impression on it. Persons in charge for breakfast supply were mostly upset and seemed that don't like at all their jobs (!?!?!). Wall soundproofing was poor, but it's a common thing in Paris as long as the buildings are XIX century buildings. |

This hotel is a typical french one, tiny room but nicely decorated, very clean with extremely comfortable bed (we didn't want to wake up in the morning) and big bathroom! The breakfast is enough - includes almost everything but it's better if it's included in the price of the room or otherwise i guess it would be a bit expensive. Totally recommented especially for couples or people who visit paris for shopping cause it'a really in the center of everything-near shops and super-market (you'll need one considering how expensive water is!), i personally had a great time! The rooms are tiny but that's not going to change i suppose so you can take it traditionally....sometimes i could hear the people in the next room and a couple of times while i was having a shower the water kept changing from cold to extremely hot so that was annoying but the overall image of this hotel is really great - it's a comfortable and accessible stay! |

Most of the staff were very professional and helpful. The airconditioning is not very effective and the minibar did not sufficiently cool its contents. |

Very comfortable, felt very welcome. Staff very helpful(especially Jean-Luc), especially giving directions to the sights(in various languages).Position of hotel lovely and quiet in a busy area, opposite primary school and Church. Good restaurants and metro very close.Large winows which opened out gave feeling of a balcony. Breakfast could be better organised as there can be a long wait for a table which is inconvenient if you have plans for the day or a plane to catch! Night porter phoned room at 11:40pm to ask us to come down to reception to pick up passport! We were given free breakfast next moring when we explained what had happened! Room key was cancelled day before we left. |

What I liked about the Best Western Opera Celte Layette was the wonderful location. The cafes and resturants were plentiful in the near neighborhoods. The variety of shopping stores all in walking distance amazed me. Our room had been remodeled the year before and was beautiful. The original support beam crossed through our room making the history of Paris jump at us from the moment we arrived. |
