The Hotel Staff was very nice, and spoke fairly good English!! The hotel lives up to its namesake, and is very centrally located!! Walking distant to all of the cities sites and restaurants and shopping!! Parking is super easy its just right out front!! Skip the six euro breakfast and walk out of the hotel turn left walk till the end of the side walk turn left again walk till the end of the building turn right walk till end of the building and right there on the corner is an amazing bakery!! Or a nice little cafe!! Sounds like a little walk but its not its maybe 2 mins!! Also the hotel has seen better days but for the price you cant beat it and the rooms were clean!!

Central location. Despite the claim to on site parking there is none. Public car park directly outside with maximum stay of 1 hour 15 minutes at cost of Euro 1.50. Long stay park 5 minutes walk away at cost of 7-10 Euro/ day

Central location was the only thing good about it. I would not recommend it at all. Crowded room, filthy moldy bathroom, side door to a balcony littered with garbage with a door to it that didnt lock.Sorry if this sounds like complaining ,but I dont think you should advertise this place. We stayed at many places thru Booking .Com and this was bad.

This is my fifth time staying at the Hotel. Great value for money and as the name suggests, very central. Try the local 'cidre' which they have for sale at reception. Cheap and refreshing after a long day's cycle.

Hotel was shabby in a noisy location with thin walls. The WiFi internet was so slow as to be unusable, the shower was broken, the toilet ran all night, the bedspread was stained and the linoleum floor was lifting.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre of Caen. My room was looking a bit tired and the hotel in general is in need of a makeover

We had a party of 60+ and the stairs in the hotel did not help, this limited the membersof the group from moving in and out of the hotel as the stairs were making them tired we did not have a choice if the hotel mentioned that it did not have a lift we would have made alternative arrangements our stay...

Leaving! No air conditioning, no coffee/facilities in room, mildew in bathroom, door to balcony unlockable and damaged, wallpaper peeling off walls, electric sockets pulled out of walls. Lots of external noise during the night (shouting etc) made us feel uneasy, especially with two young children. Hotel seemed very dated and in need of urgent refurb!

In city centre nice staff clean Shower head needs fixing as it was like a fireman's hose! Flat screen TVs need to be wall mounted as very dark to watch when led in bed.

The situation is good, near shopping and the chateau. Comfort level pretty minimal... Hardest bed I have had for years! No lift and room was 4 floors up. Room no better nor no worse than most cheaper French hotels.

It was very central to all our needs and the breakfast was fantastic, the staff was very helpful and made our stay very welcome The only complaint was that the shower head was loose and the hand basin was blocked and filled up with water very quickly

Cleanliness and the staff were very polite and helpful. The shower head height adjuster and clasp was broke and taped up so you had to carry out some fine adjustments to get the shower head in the right position.

The location and price are certainly strongest benefits. Although there were many things we didn't like, it was still comfortable and safe place to oversleep.

Excellent location in a small quiet square within sight of the Chateau in the centre. The twin room was comfortable with its own bathroom and a good shower. The continental style breakfasts were excellent, both in terms of quality and value for money while the staff were polite and helpful. It is a very good, no frills, value-for-money base for exploring the city, with a tramstop link to the train station within about a 100yds walk.
