The staff is very frendly and kindly

The owners were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. The room was big and comfortable. There is a friendly little restaurant next door which is useful if you are tired.

The bright colours are a little too much for my taste, but that's just a quibble!

The staff was very accomodating, responding to my emails about our changing schedule and storing luggage for us safely. The room was clean and comfortable. Carcassonne was a very nice town and the walled city was beautiful!

Good location,easy walk from train station. Owners are very welcoming. Wi-fi works well. Good budget hotel which is perfect for a short stay. It's not worth staying up in the old town this time of year as most shops and restaurants are closed for winter.

Walls are very thin.

The husband and wife owners were wonderful hosts. They were very friendly, took interest in our plans and spent considerable time to advise us on the best restaurants, sites and places to visit. They could not have been more helpful.

Brilliant hotel in a brilliant location. The couple running it are really great. They also have a link up with an great local restaraunt around the corner. Defo ask for directions. Amazing food

Staff were very helpful and friendly, it was no problem storing our bikes. Breakfast was basic but ok. Wifi available.

As we got closer to our room we realised that we'd made a mistake, this was a budget hotel, budget even lower than was expected by the photo's and rating on booking.com. Room was small and the brown fluffly nylon blanket didn't entice comfort. Bathroom was small, badly laid out and with clinging shower curtain. Walk into the old city was worrying through the day and night, going down some rather dodgy streets (people and graffiti). The walk was correctly stated - a good 20mins walk into the old city. (We should have paid more and stayed in the old centre!!!)

The staff/owners were friendly and very helpful, and traveling with a 5 and a 10 year old, they were very understanding of our needs. They also let us leave a mountain of baggage with them all day after we checked out. The breakfast was very good value.

The street was a bit noisy, but there were shutters (we didn't find them until the morning though).

Good location - right near the centre of carcassone with a few squares of restaurants/wine bars. It's about a 20 minute slight uphill walk into la cite of carcassonne (old town) which is really pretty and fun to explore. Hotel a very good price if you are looking to avoid the high prices of accomodation in la cite itself, and still be in the centre of carcassonne itself Staff very friendly and helpful, free wi-fi, safe inside location to store bikes if you are cycle-touring. Rooms ok - all clean, small and functional, which is fine for the price. Got a good ventilation system which is AC but doesn't have the usual annoying AC box in your room that produces noise or dehydrates you through the night! Hotel on a main road, but had no problem with noise at all, despite our room facing the road. Rooms very quiet

double beds were very small, my feet hung over the bottom of the bed and I'm 5'8 which seemed a bit odd! It was fine for our 1 night stay, but wouldn't like any more in such a snug bed

Good location. Friendly staff who allowed us to leave our bags there whilst we were awaiting our train late on the day of departure.

Everything was great. We have stayed there on a number of occassions and would recommend it to all tourists

The staff although not speaking much english, where very patient and helpful with my attempts at French! The rooms although basic had everything you needed and were clean, offering shower gel, hairdryer, tv, air con. Free wifi!!

When I said the hotel was clean, it was, after I just removed the fleecey blanket from the bed ...

Good location. Very well working wi-fi for free. Nice rooms and good breakfast.

The front end staff were extremely kind and helpful. The petit dejeuner was the best one amoung the four hotels we stayed at because it included ham cold cut rolls.

The only complait we have is that the air conditioning unit was on full blast and it didn't make much of a difference. It was pretty hot all night long.

Well positioned for the city and to visit the castle. 15min walk from train station. Nice size room.

No lift, but were helped with bags.

It was very close to the town and the Medieval City, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and maintained this way and although an old hotel, the decor was very modern and fresh.

The first night, I thought it was a little bit noisy, I was in the front, there was a restaurant below my room and the traffic was quite busy as the road seemed to be a fairly main road, the second night was okay.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location good for walking in every direction to town, castle, canal, bus and train stations. Price fine for us.

Noisy location for sleeping.. was hot and needed to have windows open at night. We were meeting american friends so would have been nice to invite them in for a coffee or a drink - but no bar to serve drinks.
