Breakfast being served in the room was a nice touch.

Some noise from the burger bar next door as they were cleaning up.

It's location right in the centre of the old town Reasonably priced. Easy parking nearby The staff were welcoming and friendly The room was comfortable and overlooked the main square.

Very minor things and nothing that would stop us staying there again: The lift! It is very small, not very good for someone who is claustrophobic. The lighting on the stairs was a bit random which was only problem because we arrived when it was dark and had to negotiate the stairs with our luggage. It is quite noisy at night due to it's location and also it's above a fast food restaurant so lots of activity. It didn't bother us too much but it might be more of a problem in the summer when you may need to keep the window open.

They did not honour the original booking price, I booked about 14 months prior to the stay. I had 2 rooms, the prices only differed by 1 Euro on each room, so I did not argue the point when they insisted on the extra payment. I would have thought that it would not be worth them insisting on this extra 2 Euro's for the negative feedback?

Well renovated room, clean and comfortable. Well located for city centre attractions.

Parking is a major hassle. We received good advice from the hotel that we shouldn't try to drive there but their suggested alternative of the centre ville parking building proved unfindable for our satnav and also was being renovated so wasn't available overnight. There was another parking building alternative but that also involved hauling suitcases some distance over cobble stones. We decided to drop off our rental car early and walk and use taxis instead. We would only recommend this hotel to people who aren't travelling by car.

i found the workers not very warm, and the breakfast poor. for 7.50 eur, i got coffe, a peace of bread, and one croissant. i asked one egg but they couldn t provide it...

Unsurprisingly, the hotel is located in the centre of Poitiers, in the main civic square, 5 mins walk to the main market square where all the historic guided walks start, as well as directly adjacent to the main shopping area. Location wins max points. The premium rooms on the third floor have a balcony where you can sit and watch the comings and goings of he busy square (including weddings at the town hall). I imagine the view from the cheaper rooms is less grand but you can always go downsairs and sit at one of the many cafes in the square. Room wasn't massive but I think that's the pay off for the balcony and it did have a good size bathroom with bath and shower. It was quite clear from the outside that the rooms on the second floor had much higher ceilings and were possibly larger. We arrived early having confirmed that we could stow luggage for the afternoon but they had our room eady to check in when we arrived (about 11). The man on the desk was lovely, very helpful and phoned us an airport taxi for the next morning. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. All in all, a fantastic end to our holiday. Poitiers is beautiful and I would happily recommend the Hotel Central.

The location is great. The hotel is modern and cosy.

The location is fantastic, in the centre of Poitiers, without traffic noise (no traffic at all in front of the mairie). The hotel windows have double glazing, even if a lot of people dine out in the plaza, I'm confident the rooms will still be quiet.

Perhaps the lack of parking, but there is a council car park a couple of hundred meters away.

The hotel location could not be more central, situated on a square adjacent to the Town Hall and with a nice view of the square from our window. The rooms are basic but stylish, comfortable and clean. There is free WiFi, which while being a little weak in the room was useful. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no breakfast room or restaurant and so breakfast is served directly to the room but that suited us nicely as we were looking for a lazy morning.

There was nothing not to like. The hotel was basic and lacked any fancy facilities but as as a place to put our heads down after a day exploring the city it was perfect.

The hotel was in an excellent central location and only a short walk from the railway station. The superior double room was good value. We had breakfast at nearby cafes. The reception staff were polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location right on the main city square. Close to all the shops and city centre amenities. Apart from a helpful English speaking receptionist on the tiny front desk during the day there are no hotel staff. Good Continental breakfast served in our room right on time and more than we could manage. Good size room, contemporary design, clean and basic comfort. Received a confirmation email before arrival with directions to the nearby municipal car park, which was very helpful. Free wi-fi in the room which actually worked.

The staff at Hotel Central were extremely friendly and very helpful.

We did not like the fact that you had to order breakfast the night before and there was no room service.

Great central location. Nice size room. Recently been refurbished and rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful.

Was quite noisy at night because it over looks the main square. We had to have our window open because it was really hot and we couldn't control our own air con which is why we were disturbed with noise from outside.

Central location nice helpfull friendly staff plenty of restaurants in area and 10mins from train station id stay there again

La qualité de son défaut: zone piétonne donc plutôt calme et très agréable de ne pas être agressé par les voitures quand on sort de l’hôtel.Parking tout près. Chambre de 3 personnes, confort bon . Hôtel que je recommanderais plutôt.

Le fait que l’hôtel se situe dans une zone piétonne donc non accessible en voiture est très déroutant quand on n'est pas prévenu : trop de bagages s'abstenir. Chambre un peu étroite.

le mélangeur de la douche est moyen pas de savon dans la salle de bains heureusement j'en avais un avec moi à la salle de bains il n'y a aucun équipement pour suspendre les serviettes de bains et c'est dommage !

Literie très confortable, au cœur du centre historique, calme, prix sympa.

Salle de bains exiguë, chasse d'eau défaillante, chauffage coupé un peu tôt.

L'hôtel a une vu superbe sur l'hôtel de ville. Chambre très calme. Malgré que l'on soit en plein centre ville, on n'entend aucun bruit. Petit déjeuner très copieux et très bon. La chambre pour 3 personnes est spacieuse et décoré avec goût. Un petit hôtel à réserver absolument si l'on passe par Poitiers.

Je dirais la salle de bain un petit peu petite. Mais bon...
