Hotel Central Saint Germain combines grace, comfort and a typically Parisian style, in the heart of the historic Latin Quarter. Recently refurbished in 2009 with a charming new décor, the Hotel Central Saint Germain offers fully equipped rooms with air conditioning, private bathroom, satellite TV, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. Its central location allows you easy access to the business district by metro and is a great base from which to discover the many attractions of Paris. The hotel is just a few steps from Notre Dame, the Seine the Pantheon and the magnificent Luxembourg Gardens. The setting is peaceful but lively with an array of shopping and restaurant experiences available within walking distance. Hotel Rooms: 35

The only problem was that I booked 3 rooms and specified that 1 must be a twin bedded room for 2 ladies. When we went to our room we discovered it was a double and when I went to reception to complain I was told that there were no twins available for that night. I discovered in the morning that one of the couples we were with had the the twin room! Surely it was common sense that of the 3 rooms I had reserved the couples should have the double rooms and the 2 ladies should have the twin. I had to sleep on a sofa bed unneccessarily.

Great hotel in excellent location, nearby Sorbonne, Notre Dame, Odeon and Mouffetard. Rooms are clean, nice beds (seperate), nice bath and shower. Friendly staff. Will absolutely try to stay here next time!

Lovely, moderate priced hotel in a great location in the Latin Quarter. We had a triple room on the top floor which had plenty of space and a particularly large and very clean bathroom! Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in area and only a 10 minute walk (or less) to Notre Dame. Staff was wonderful - very friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay again when I return to Paris.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have always found the location terrific -- it is easily accessible by rer from Charles deGaulle airport as well as being accessible to other rer and metro lines. Although the hotel is located in the bustling Latin Quarter it is on a remarkably quiet street and has the distinction of being set between 2 of the most famous repertory cinemas in Paris -- "Le Champo" and "Reflet Médicis". A few more doors up the street is the Filmothèque. Given the proximity of the Sorbonne and the College de France, there are lots of excellent bookstores in the neighbourhood, both specialised and more general, The staff are always very courteous and helpful. In the past, the single rooms I stayed in (as well as a triple I stayed in with my daughter and her friend) were wel sized and very comfortable, This time, I found myself in a tiny single room with a very small bathroom. For future use, I would ask for the larger single rooms. As the decor of the rooms is fairly ho-hum, this is not the hotel to go to for a "wow" weekend. I cannot comment on the hotel breakfast, as I like to take breakfast outside the hotel. There is an excellent little café just around the corner on the Rue des Ecoles.

Awesome, perfect location - just steps from the St-Michel stop on the rer b line. Very clean. Our room was not large, nor was the bed (a double, not a queen), and the bed was a little hard. The decor is pretty traditional but is kept up very well, and the flat screen tv was new. The wireless signal was too weak in our room to work, so we just went down to the lobby to use the internet instead. I feel like I'm listing the negatives when really it's a great place to stay, especially for the price. You can pay a lot more and get a lot less in Paris. The whole place was very clean, the shower was nice, new, and had great pressure, the front desk man was very nice, and the location is perfect. I would totally stay here again.

Loved the location - in walking distance for sight seeing and eating out at night but just tucked away enough to be quiet at night. Very central location! Also managed to secure a very reasonable rate. Nothing really - but if being very english - lacked tea facilities in rooms - like most french hotels - but that is all!

Location, very close to Notre-Dame, St Sulpice, Pantheon. The metro-station also was close to the hotel. The room were clean. The room looks horrible, with a carpet on the wall, next to a big photo. Then, we did not have have heating, even outside were only 3-4 degrees in the night.

Friendly staff. Free Wifi which was fast (fast enough to stream Formula 1 over the internet). Basic breakfast but of good quality: the croissants are freshly baked and the coffee is good. Beds are good and the bathroom is clean. I've paid more money for less of a hotel in Paris many times. Not much not to like. The room is small and oddly-shaped, but hey, this is Paris. The soap and shampoo in the bathroom are pretty basic (dispenser on the wall).

The hotel is in a brilliant location - within walking distance of a lot of sights The room we were in was a good size (for a Paris hotel) but was very dusty and stuffy. We got the impression (perhaps incorrectly) that it hadn't been used for a while.

The location is amazing. The room was very clean with modern, tasteful decorations and details. The rooms are small, but standard for Parisian hotels. I felt very comfortable staying here and would absolutely stay here again. The check-in process was slow compared to other hotels and I would not count on the receptionists for insight to the cool, hip side of the city. Luckily there are lots of websites that can do that instead.

As they say: Location, Location, Location. My room was small and the bed absolutely tiny. It was the smallest bed I've ever been in (not counting my infancy). At only 5 ft. 6 inches tall, my feet should not hang off the end of the bed! Make sure you get a room that you will fit in.

Great location, decent price, room was surprisingly spacious by Parisian standards. Crazy woman behind the desk on check out. 'Secure' luggage locker was found to be unlocked on return. Half the bed was very saggy, still coping with the back pain three days later!

Note:hotel staff a) one lady - early mornings- was excellent b) most other times desk attended by young man who was poor not taking any action on complaints, not even taking notes (just smiled). Example:no renewal of light bulb was possible. Excellent breakfast staff and good breakfast in a nice environment.

Location, good wifi The accommodations, the noise, the total lack of amenities, including DRAWERS,Way overpriced. The 'double room' is a joke, unless the two people involved were children.
