Loved the Chateau, the owners are doing a superb job of renovation on both the chateau and the chapel. Our room was excellent and we understand that every room is different but they have all be done in an individual style, The staff were very helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant, K2 Brasserie at Gradignan, which provided one of the best meals we have had in France at a very reasonable cost. We loved our stay and would look to return in the future. Breakfast was okay but a bit limited in content and variety. The addition of cereals, fresh fruit, cheese and ham would have made a big difference.

If you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary to make a stay near Bordeaux even more special then there's really no need to look further than this lovely luxury b&b no more than twenty minutes from the centre of the city. Set in about 70 hectares of its own parkland complete with woods, lakes and equestrian paddocks its beautifully out of the way yet so easily accessible but be prepared for a special welcome from the friendly and rather inquisitive family dogs on your arrival! Give them a little attention and they'll be your best friends for your entire stay. The rooms are all individually designed and decorated in lavish style. My room, Bérénice, in fact turned out to be a mini suite with the most wonderful "alcove" room for families with youngsters who would, no doubt, be enthralled with the idea of climbing(!) into their own special room complete with dvd player and a selection of child-friendly movies. Parents would also be suitably pleased as the alcove can be closed off from the main bedroom by two doors ensuring a little extra privacy. The bed was super-comfortable and the enormous shower hot and powerful. It was just a shame I didn't allow myself the opportunity on indulge in the big whirlpool bath also included. Breakfast is taken in the B&B's own kitchen area - farmhouse table style - with a generous offering of breads, croissants, the largest selection of spreads and preserves I have ever seen, and fresh fruit juices and yoghurts. The kitchen also offers a selection of complementary Nespresso coffees, teas etc at any time of day or night. Although I visited Chateau de Leognan as a solo traveller on a last minute booking seeking a couple of nights r&r during a long business trip I am now looking to find any excuse to return, this time with my wife, to experience it all over again

Fantastic value for money, staying on a real working château in Bordeaux. The owners and staff are so friendly (and so is Max the dog). The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was a great start to each day. We would totally recommend this place to anyone. Having to leave!!

This B&B was very charming. The room was huge, nicely furnitured. Big bathroom with shower and whirlpool. Breakfast was good, lot of choice, in a big charming common kitchen. Impressive building including its own chapelle. The owners are very friendly and willing to tell about the history of the building.

Chateau de Léognan was just what we had wanted to experience - idylic setting, beautiful and tastefully restored Chateau and a wonderful hostess in Chantelle and also Lise. Thanks to Chantelle's recommendatuon we enjoyed beautiful meals at a wonderful local restuarant La Forge and ofcousre had the pleasure of tasting the Chateau's own wine which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also really loved the little village of Léognan - if you are there on a Saturday make sure you visit the Sat Village Market - sensational!

We can not recommend this place highly enough. The chateau, the parc and the settings are beautiful. It is a peaceful place where you can relax very easily. Mr and Mrs Miecaze, the owners, are extremely pleasant, warm and very passionate about what they do and their beautiful wine. The continental breakfast is delicious and generous. All in all, a gem. We would definitely go back!
