Château des Grandes Vignes

Family run and friendly; the owner went out of his way to help us get our laundry done (with 2 kids this was a huge help). Beautiful old estate set amid the vineyard. Large rooms. Comfortable beds. Fresh, clean, country air.

Rooms weren't cleaned daily, so no clean linens or towns. Because the house is very old, there's a fair bit of noise when moving about.

it was the right place @ the right time /great breakfast as well!!

The friendly owner, the style of the house, the excellent bed, a very quiet location, their tasty own Sauternes wine.

The owner was very welcoming and when we arrived offered us a glass of wine produced from his own Vineyard. Free wi fi, superb fish Restuarant within 100 metres

The slightly faded grandeur of this lovely building combined with the informality and friendliness of the owner made this a memorable overnight stop.

The directions are somewhat misleading - it was not clear that the hotel is on the main road and we spent some time looking for a side street Les Grandes Vignes

Este hotel es una buena elección para hospedarse a las afueras de Burdeos. Tranquilo, con encanto y espacioso, jardines y viñedos en la misma finca para pasear. Habitaciones espaciosas, confortables y bien equipadas. Personal muy amable. Nice and quiet hotel with a beautiful vineyard. Spacious and comfortable rooms, staff very friendly.

A nice French country house beside its own vines and with character unlike the formula type hotels. Very pleasant owner. As there was a little bit of noise from early departing guests he presented us with a bottle of wine. A nice touch. Good location near the Autoroute for a stopover but also well situated to spend a couple of days in the locality. A decent restaurant is situated within easy walking distance. French breakfast is pleasant.

As long as you are not expecting a modern hotel then nothing really to dislike.

We thought it a charming house, set in lovely gardens and most tastefully and sensitively renovated. Most notable though was the kindness and hospitality of the owner and his family. It was a most enjoyable visit.

Michael was a fantastic host and made our stay really comfortable. He made us feel special in a simple way. The room was large and clean with a lovely view to the vineyard. We stayed a long time on the beautiful patio and enjoyed the sunset in this romantic setting. Delicious breakfast.

The furniture is a bit worn out but it complements nicely the whole vintage feeling of the chateau. we forgot to put in the location in our GPS in advance and had some trouble finding the location late in the afternoon.

The Hotel is in a very good position, close to restaurants and Boulangerie. The room and bathroom was very spacious and clean with lovely views. We had an evening meal at the Chateau, cooked by the owner, the meal was excellent and very good value. We also tasted the wines that are made at the chateau with our meal. We really enjoyed our stay to celebrate a special birthday. We would throughly recommend this hotel

There was nothing we did not like.

The personal service was excellent, room spacious and character was just right. The price was spot on as well. Bordeaux is expensive and this Chateaux was perfect if you wanted to save a few pennies and did not mind being a little far out. Local town seemed tired but you are there for the wine and not the local shopping.

Nothing to fault really. Just the sign needs to be easier to read from the road when driving past at 70km an hour with the locals up your backside.

Heel warm onthaal van de 'kasteelheer'. Mooi en stijlvol pand met luxueuze kamer met zicht op de eigen wijngaard. Leuke ontvangst met glaasje wijn. In de warmere maanden buitenzwembad naast de wijngaard. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Es una casa al lado del pueblo. Tiene un salón muy agradable y cómodo para leer o charlar. Tanto en el salón como en el comedor que también está muy bien se escucha música clásica ambiental. Estuvimos en la suite. Es una gran habitación con una gran cama y una habitación accesoria con 2 camas individuales. El trato fue bueno. Nos invitaron a una copa de vino de degustación.

Nada. El pueblo no tiene nada que visitar. Pero puede ser una base para ver otras localidades. En nuestro caso Cadillac y Burdeos.

Le charme de cette maison de maître, l'accueil, une suite familiale à deux chambres, un vin de qualité, un petit déjeuner généreux et "fait maison" En raison d'une arrivée tardive et d'une étape trop courte nous n'avons pu profiter des activités proposées

Super accueil, nous avons pris la suite avec 4 couchages, tres bien et pas cher du tout! Petit chateau rustique, au milieu des vignes. Petit dejeuner "maison" tres copieux. Des bons restaurants à proximité. Bref parfait!

Es una casa, junto al pueblo.

Llegamos a las 13 h, no habia nadie. Tuvimos que llamar a un tel y nos dijeron que no podian ir a abrirnos y daenos la habitacion hasta las 134h...habiamos conducido 400 km... Y tuvimos que esperar...
