We didn't stay in the main building we stayed across the drive in a three room unit/conversion. Polystyrene tiles on the ceiling, a macerator that stank, light fittings that were help up by their wiring with the ceiling rose dangling off. One working bulb in the 5 bulb centre light fitting in the what was or could be the kitchen. The oven had been removed or never installed not a stick of cutlery or crockery, ok it wasn't self catering it was B&B.
The bed and bed linen were cheap and polyester.
No air-con, it says there is on the web site, No Mosquito protection we had to ask for repellers and buy some. Airless rooms with a front door that wouldn't lock.
The breakfast was minimal unexciting and very dull.
The restaurant staff were ok, except the maitre di, she was patronising ,cold rude and flustered by the idea of accommodating two more dinners at 7pm, who had just driven 1000 miles to get there. The food was OK we would have dined there again but couldn't bring ourselves to be patronised anymore. The bar area was scruffy, it's separate business, the staff were unfriendly and disinterested.
Not worth the £874 we paid if was 'very shabby and not a bit chic'!
Check you are staying in the Chateau!
Great location, great vineyard and views and a lovely pool. Good wine tour and information.
