Exactly what I was looking for: a comfortable and relaxing place, made so by both the scenery/location, the personal attention/support provided to your stay and vacation intentions, and the comfort of the chalet itself. The feel is simply: it's your home too. The two common rooms for breakfast gatherings, movie watching or personal cooking/meals are a great idea. The location is perfect for feeling in the mountains and yet able to walk comfortably into town for dinner and great access to all Chamonix offers. Expert personal advice on where to hike or ski is part of the package!
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, perfect service, perfect english. Extremely comfortable common area.
Quite small rooms, with no storage room and with low roof. Be careful with your head if you are tall.
Great design Very helpful and friendly stuff Quite location Amazing view from the bed side windows Great breakfast
Very slow wifi
such sweet hosts! the place was so quiet and beautiful and feng shui! perfect everything... really!
This is a charming place in an excellent location. We loved our stay here and our host,Lynsay, was so helpful and welcoming which made our stay even better. I highly recommend Chalet Les Pelerins!
Great staff, nice atmosphere
Lack of privacy, location
Friendly and very helpful owners. They arranged transfer from the aiport without extra cost. They booked an excellent ski guide for me. My companion had to cancel last minute, and David, the chalet owner, put me in touch with other skieers who wanted to ski with a guide, so I could split the cost. The chalet is nice and quiet at night, so I could get a good night sleep after an exhausting day of skiing off-piste. Breakfast is excellent, and I met very interesting other guests over breakfast, to share a beer with apres ski. Much better than staying on your own in a hotel. I'd absolutely recommend this chalet if you want to get the most out or your stay in Chamonix.
There was snow on my rooftop window, so I couldn't look outside from my bed. David refused to climb up on the roof to remove the snow for me.:)
We were told to make ourselves at home and that's how this chalet felt. I found it better value than a hotel because there was space to spread out in after a day skiing rather than being couped up in a room. And that space was much more homely and modern than many I've stayed in before. You could come home, make a brew, kick-back and relax. Just what you'd do at home. The hosts, David and Asa were really helpful and friendly. The chalet was fairly quiet during our stay and perhaps this made the service more personable. David loaned us his Mont Blanc Tunnel pass making a bonus trip to Courmayeur and the best snow so much cheaper - not something that he could do for everyone but an example of the considerate service that we received. We also got asked if we wanted to partake in the Sunday breakfast treat of bacon, pancakes and maple syrup.... this took a nano-second to answer yes, and only slightly longer to consume!!!
I didn't find the chalet straight away, but it was dark... and I'd forgotten the details I'd printed off. The location map on their website is accurate... if you have it with you! The chalet is set back from the road and the sign at the top of the drive a little hard to spot. It's probably best approached from the bowling centre roundabout in Chamonix town. It's a 5/10 min walk back this way to bars and restaurants. Some may not want to walk, but it depends on your priorities. Walking was ok for us, we had a car but didn't use it at all in the evenings.
