Location The welcome The room with a nice decoration
There was no lamp for one side of the bed. It was a little bit noisy in the morning because of the cars.
Very cute and cosy apartment in the heart of Honfleur. Perfect distance to the port, shops and restaurants. Ideal for a weekend away.
Close to town. Nicely apponted and spotless.
A bit noisy as the room was right by the main door and the street. Also, there was minimal contact with the host personnel. Money for room was left on table.
In centre of Honfleur. Coffee/tea/biscuits/electric kettle in room. The room was spotlessly clean.
Tiny room 2 feet from the street. You hear lots of noise from outside. Shower door makes access difficult. No space to put the suitcase. Nobody on site. You phone in advance and arrange to meet the owner. No breakfast facilities.
The room was quaint with vaulted ceilings -- a La Boheme type of place if you know the opera. The bathroom was modern and well appointed. The location is ideal, just a few short blocks from the main square and harbor of this charming place that we would like to return to some day.
We were given Room 4 which meant a very steep, narrow and winding staircase up two flights of stairs. When we opened the door, we encountered the bathroom which was very nice except that I could not sit down straight on the toilet since there was so little room between it and the wall. To get to the actual bedroom required climbing up another 13 stairs. Fortunately we had read earlier reviews and only had backpacks; we left our suitcases in the car. There was no hand rail for most of the steps which was a bit concerning to two seniors with bad knees.
Very clean, modern accommodation in a classic location. Comfortable bed. Wifi was available and dependable. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great place to stay to explore Honfleur. A word of caution: Narrow steep staircase to get to rooms. Plan accordingly...we took only what we needed for our one night stay. Park in Parc Naturistic for free and walk a few blocks to Au Bois Normand.
Cars passing on the street at night were noisy.
Close to everything, large room for France, shower was amazing
Reasonably priced and great location
Everything - but especially having a fridge in the room. The property was very tastefully decorated and seemed quite new.
Everything; superb location, newly decorated to very high standard, tea/coffee facilities, beautifully appointed bathroom,-apart from the temperature of the water.
temperature of water was scalding-couldn't have a shower
easy access and self contained apartment / room style. location is superb
Delightful little 4 storey house, tasteful decor, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, very clean, Wi-Fi. 1 min walk to port. Parking close by.
Breakfast not included. No family rooms. Light sleepers staying on ground floor may be disturbed by some street noise.
Room was large. Bathroom was clean and large. Very nicely decorated; mostly new throughout. Very close to the harbor.
Access to upper floors by narrow circular stairway only. Never saw the owner; made arrangements to leave cash for the night's stay in the room. Wondered if my credit card would also be charged - it never was.
- Really charming decor of the attic room (like staying in a forest cabin!) - View of the harbor from the attic window. - Hospitable and considerate hosts, who prepared a small bottle of mineral water, some snacks and an electric fan in our room since the day we stayed in Honfleur was exceptionally hot. - Room with a small refrigerator, a kettle, and cups and spoons. - Modernized bathroom equipped with new and really advanced shower equipment. - Location: in a quiet alley but close to all attractions, including "Travel's Coffee" where you can enjoy breakfast and then walk up to "Cote de Grace" to visit the chapel and enjoy the view overlooking Honfleur.
- Not recommended for elder visitors or those with very young kids since the bathroom&WC for the attic room is not on the same floor as the attic room and you have to go downstairs to use the bathroom. - The host may not be present in the morning. If you plan to catch a bus, be sure to negotiate with the host in advance about how to complete the check-out.
C'est difficile à connecter le wifi.
Very cute hotel!! nice room and great atmosphere!
Be careful with late arrival. There is a chance to miss your stay because owner could serve you only before 21 pm. Ask for wifi, since the psw is not written anywhere.
Everything is good
Bathroom for top bedroom a little small
location was superb and parking very easy
stairs to room very difficult and steep and you really cannot get into the room until 3.00pm so don't arrive early. Also had to pay in cash as the card system wasn't working.
Very well appointed room recently refurbished with an excellent bathroom and spacious and comfortable bedroom. The bois de Normande is in a beautiful street of half timbered houses in the old part of honfleur just 5 minutes walk from the old Basin and quay
The location was excellent and the place itself was just beautiful the lady made sure we were very well looked after, and the room was excellent.
