We were given Room 4 which meant a very steep, narrow and winding staircase up two flights of stairs. When we opened the door, we encountered the bathroom which was very nice except that I could not sit down straight on the toilet since there was so little room between it and the wall. To get to the actual bedroom required climbing up another 13 stairs. Fortunately we had read earlier reviews and only had backpacks; we left our suitcases in the car. There was no hand rail for most of the steps which was a bit concerning to two seniors with bad knees.
The room was quaint with vaulted ceilings -- a La Boheme type of place if you know the opera. The bathroom was modern and well appointed. The location is ideal, just a few short blocks from the main square and harbor of this charming place that we would like to return to some day.
