A little hard to find. My first time to the area, so I'm sure that didn't help. Google maps does not put you in the right place, use the map and directions provided on the Booking.com website. The entrance could be better marked.
Such a lovely place! I loved that it was in the French countryside, and looking back, I wish my trip had one more night here and one less night in Paris. The place is absolutely beautiful and charming, and the owner does a great job of making it feel like home. When we got there, the owner was very welcoming and even recommended a classy french restaurant in nearby Lisieux (he called and made a reservation for us). Turned out to be a fantastic restaurant with a phenomenal 5-course dinner.
Breakfast is included, as is free wi-fi. Breakfast included a basket of home-made breads (various kinds), hot chocolate (or coffee if you prefer), fresh orange juice, and home-made jams. Just have to put in a plug here for the jams - they were amazing! We ended up buying 5 jars from the owner, and he gave us a 6th for free (they're about 4-5 euros each, standard glass jar, SO worth it). The owner has a list of about 30-40 different jams they make on-site, depending on what fruits are in season. Overall, my wife and I loved this place and would strongly recommend it. Extremely affordable, very pretty location, clean and hospitable. Next time I come to France, I'll definitely try to stay here again.
