Steps a problem for mature couple. Noise from trucks from about 4am.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. You are in the heart of Honfleur, with a good selection of restaurants and amazing views from a double aspect room. Parking was easy and a short stroll away. The room itself was very welcoming and the bed was really comfortable. We loved the nesspresso machine. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.
Sophie was a perfect host
The décor was absolutely beautiful. This place was truly special - a highlight of our trip.
Pack a lighter bag due to the stairs and be prepared to park a few blocks from the place. Don't let this deter you. It was absolutely worth it the effort
location, room style and facilities and no one to trouble you if you sleep in.
church bells, and dustmen collecting rubbish from restaurants on the harbor.
The location was excellent. The rooms are comfortable and nice looking. The beds and cushions are exceptionally nice. Nice coffee machine, just not enough coffee!
There was only a small number with no name on the door, so we did not know if it was the right place and nobody was there as arranged. We had to phone again and got a code to open the door.( We phoned an hour before we arrived to let them know what time we will be there. Lucy said her father in law would meet us there. However he was not, only arrived about 30 min later) The drain in one of the rooms was blocked and it overflowed into the room..... There is no room service and the coffee is not replaced (one per guest per day). As there is no breakfast, more coffee would have been nice...
If you want to stay in a large, comfortable room in old town Honfleur, this is the place for you. Looking out one window, we had a wonderful view of the harbor; looking out the other, we had another wonderful view of St. Catherine's church. The bed was very comfy, and the walk-in shower worked well. The room was beautifully appointed with an easy chair and desk. When we had problems with the hot water, TV and internet reception, it was taken care of promptly. We were greeted by Sophie exactly at the time we had arranged; she made us feel very welcomed.
If you don't like stairs, think carefully about staying here as there's no lift. The downside of the excellent location is the noise from the quay-side restaurants below. However, by closing the window on that side of our room, the noise was kept out. If you visit Honfleur, be sure to bring insect repellent -- the mosquitos can be very aggressive at night. Fortunately, they didn't come into the room even though we had our windows open.
The room + the situation overlooking the cosy harbor and all the restaurants. Winows on both sides of the room.
This can not be compared to a normall confort room. There is no cleaning of this socalled confort room. If you are planning to stay for more than a couple of days, beware that there is no cleaning of room, change of sheets and towels. Only just a little more than 1 paper roll in the wc. We had to go to a shop to buy this after 1 or 2 days. We stayed 4 nights.
The room was really beautiful and the location was perfect. It did become rather noisy but that was the fault of the World Cup rather than where we were staying! The host was immensely helpful as was his daughter-in-law, Sophie. We had a really superb stay!
Top location, views of harbour and square, spacious we'll appointed room with coffee machine
Noise from restaurants below including late music
Room was large and dual aspect....one side Church and other the port. Very central and well presented room. Ideal for 1/3 nites in centre of honfleur. the owners very helpful and room is immaculate.Wife says its romantic...whatever that means.Owner very pleasant.
No air con. Have to plan your arrival with owner to meet you with keys. Lots stairs to top room...dont take big heavy cases . Car parking is not next to room but small price to pay.
Perfect location. Great interior.
Its quite impossible to sleep on saturday morning due to a market that is being prepared for saturday morning.
We enjoyed the contrasting views from the front and back of the apartment.
Perfect in every way. Would defiantly stay here again.
Location was superb, overlooking the lovely harbour
Sophie was really helpful. The location was incredible and the standard of the room was great.
The noise late at night was a bit intrusive. Parking was an issue though Sophie helped find us free parking though it was quite a way away
What a lovely room in a fantastic town. The room we were given was well decorated (enough modern and Normandy charm for any traveler to be content). We had views on either side of the apartment, one of the old church and little shops on the cobblestone street, the other of the harbor and all the restaurants. It was very quite for the location. The owners were very accommodating and made themselves available if we were in need of anything. There was coffee, tea, water, juice and even a Nespresso machine (with pods!) all available for our use. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would visit Honfleur again in a heartbeat and would definitely rent this room again.
No staff on site...we had to arrange the check in. It wasn't a huge deal, just something to be aware of. There's also no parking, but the pay lot is a quick walk down the street.
We stayed in one of the rooms at the beginning of May. The room and its facilities were exceptional. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Honfleur's best shops and restaurants. Really cute and picturesque place to stay for 2 or 3 nights. Terrific honeymoon option. We absolutely loved the place.
Wi-fi connection was a bit slow. No parking but we were shown places to park for free that were about 10 minutes walk from the place.
The B&B was exceptional. Everything is decorated with class and elegance. We were welcomed with such warmth and kindness that we sure were discussed to stay forever! The host was delightful. A small hiccup with arrival times were honored with a delicious petit dejeuner on the house. Stay there, have a great time in a wonderful place and see if you can find a 5 star hotel which can compete with this delightfull B&B
Nothing. It was perfect
Double aspect views over the church and harbour. Easy to find. Very comfy bed and excellent monsoon shower.
Needed to ask for extra water, coffee etc., on arrival as not enough left for two day stay, but willingly provided.
Location was great - walking distance to everything and view of the Honfleur Basin from room Room was lovely and spacious Was nice change to a hotel as the owners did not stay in the building
Wifi was very poor - not an issue for us as we weren't there for wifi, but just in case you needed it for work etc Noise - we had the windows closed but the noise from downstairs bars could be heard until 1-2am, and this wasn't peak season
Central location, comfortable room. Good facilities
The wifi was very weak. Unable to retrieve business email.
good position , well furnished very clean
I've stayed in Ritz-Carlton in Manhattan, so I guess I can say that I've been staying at one of the top hotels in the world. But of all the hotels that I've stayed, this is absolutely the best trip that I have ever experienced. Room is clean and the heat is strong. The view is perfect. The best part that I want to mention is the finest hospitality by the landlord, Sophie. I felt like I was not staying at a hotel but another home. This is absolutely the best stay ever!
Wonderful location. Beautifull room (first floor). Very friendly welcome by Sophie and Mr. Houdaille and they gave us good restaurant and free parking advice. Very clean and new. Recommended as short holiday! We had even some water and juice in our minibar included.
everything very fine, but as we need to give some little remarks we think about the following: no wardrobe in our room, but we managed without.
