Location and friendliness of owners. Great breakfast. Nb no cards, not clear from Booking.com site.
We used this as a one night stopover on the way further south. It is just over an hour from Cherbourg and probably a bit less from Caen. The covered pool is great , and the view over the valley from the garden lovely. Next to the pool is a covered area with cooking facilities including all pots and pans, cutlery, a fridge, and a dining area. The owners are friendly and welcoming, serving a good breakfast in their own dining room. Very relaxed and all are times flexible to suit you. Rooms are chalets built around the pool and give some privacy rather than being in the house. Would definitely go back again.
Not really faults but it is difficult to find and not marked well. It is outside the town with no bars or restaurants within walking distance, so driving necessary if you want to eat out.
the swimming pool, the landscape, the nice pool houses and the silence there :)
Very nice place, fresh air, beautiful view. Rooms are nice. Friendly owner
Not very good wi-Fi connection
M. Bernard and his wife are charming hosts, well versed in the history of the area and ready to provide useful information. Their garden is gorgeous and the room was comfortable. Beside the pool they have a covered area where guests can prepare and enjoy a meal. The town of Avranches is not merely close to the Mont St. Michel, it is an interesting destination in itself, with charming cobbled streets and the ruins of a fort built by a comrade-in-arms of William the Conqueror.
- The b&b has a very friendly owner, who speaks English. - Breakfast is basic, but very tasteful. - Nice swimming place. - Very quiet since the B&B is located outside the town.
- WiFi signal is not that strong.
The friendly owner ... très acceuillant! The space and comfort of the room. The swimming pool!
We loved the quiet but very handy location with fantastic views. The swimming pool and the self catering kitchen area where brilliant and meant we could all dine together into the evening. Henri and his wife were extremely welcoming and we will definitely return again.
There was nothing we didn't like but as a suggestion tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the self catering kitchen area would add the extra touch. However, if you take your own, as we did, then you can use the facilities provided to make drinks any time of the day.
Henri, the host, was very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't use it, the pool and summer kitchen looked excellent. I stayed in a detached cabin which was very peaceful. Overall, clean, well maintained, and quiet.
I arrived in very warm weather, the wooden cabin lacked a secure opening window so was a bit hot. Otherwise fine.
The pool. Friendly host. Simple but great breakfast. Great view. Just Great !
It was very comfortable and quiet. Kitchen had everything you need except a wine opener. Wi fi was dependable. Beds were comfortable.
Washing machine had no instructions. I am concerned there is a fee to wash all of our towels and bedding. I'm waiting to check this on my credit card. For the cost of the apartment if we pay extra for laundry I will be very unhappy. How do wash sheets and towels and leave by 11am?
Hospitality, breakfast in the main house with all the other guests(9people) camp kitchen was excellent. Use of swimming pool ,small place only 4 rooms, short drive to evening dining.
The place is hard to find, no kettle nor coffee, tea etc provided only takes cash.
breakfast and super friendly staff
we were looking for places a little outside the city and more B&B style, so it was perfect, but you must have a car.
Charming and very welcoming hosts, who kindly allowed of to park our two motorbikes in their own garage. Rooms comfortable and spotless. Easy to find location. Very pleasant breakfast.
Wifi worked fine in chalet by pool, but not in the chalet nearer to the main house. Very long and complicated Wifi password, that took several attempts to get on line.
Brilliant swimming pool and cooking facilities
A very friendly stop en route for main holiday Lovely location with nice swimming pool
Chalet decor could be more inviting.
On the outskirts of Avranches and overlooking Mont St Michel this is very good value. Chalet accommodation in the garden with a covered swimming pool and guest cooking facilities - all you need for a budget holiday. The host was very welcoming and the breakfast a delight with homemade jams. Will definitely return if in the area again and watching the pennies!
Nothing - it was good value!
Quiet place. Nice setting. Lovely breakfast
A bit difficult to find. Quite a distance from any restaurants if you have an alcoholic drink with a meal.
Short drive to Mt St Michel. Hotel is difficult to find, so be sure to get good directions before making your way to the Hotel. We had a family room and it was clean and spacious. The hosts were delightful and the breakfast was charming.
the family room was spacious and private. the covered pool and outdoor kitchen were great amenities to have after a long drive. also th 10 minute drive to mont st michel was a real bonus. henri and his wife were lovely hosts.
dont have any negatives to tell.
Good value, close to Mont St Michels, quiet location and staff very friendly and helpful.
Room lacked cleanliness.
friendly atmosphere the swiming pool
room great, hotelier very helpful/friendly , gardens picturesque, price good , plus a pool
tea making facilities in room would be good
Henri and his wife were most charming and helpful. The views from the property were stunning. The facilities were good; swimming pool, kitchenette, fridge and cooker (useful as the property is a bit of a drive from the town-you can always go back to the hotel take wine from the fridge and sit and relax and enjoy the view). Very comfortable and clean rooms-cabins a lovely idea. We went for the Tour de France-which went right passed the gate. Couldn't have asked for more!!!! Would certainly go back again...so peaceful and a good base for sightseeing.
Difficult to find. Don't go by the long and lat as they will take you to the hospital car park!! Going out of town you need to drive past the hospital, start down a hill with a sharp right hand bend, just beyond this you will a sign on the right and turn into the drive.
The location was lovely once found, very close to the motorway for the next day's journey. The pool was delightfully refeshing after a long drive. The owner and his wife were most welcoming and helpful on arrival and the parking was good. The cabin itself was clean and most comfortable. It offered me a very pleasant overnight stay..in a very peaceful location.I loved the bench outside each cabin that allowed a private area to enjoy the surroundings. .
I found the owner's map much too small and of little real use.I feel that a second sign, placed well before the actual corner, would be of greater benefit to those trying to find the establishment. As the entrance to the property is hidden from view on the bend, the board advertising it is virtually unseen until you are on top of it.I also felt a small kettle and tray with coffee and tea would have been most welcome along with some ideas of places to get a meal locally.
