I felt like coming home rather than staying with people I had never met. I was made comfortable within minutes of my arrival. Lovely room and great overall site. Loved it!
Thank you so much to Bill and Meredith for a lovely stay in their beautiful B&B. My mother and I stayed for 4 nights in Champagne and were delighted to have found such a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, and the location had the most beautiful views. For breakfast we had homemade fresh bread every morning- what a treat! Bill and Meredith were so accommodating and helpful, with lot's of top tips on where to visit and eat in the area- they were also wonderful company and every morning we looked forward to chatting with them over our yummy breakfast. We will definitely be back!
Very friendly owners, super atmosphere, enjoyed our staying there.
Friendliness of the owners Home from home facilities Inclusiveness (and storytelling!) over breakfast Always willing to help attitude of owners Opposite a Michelin star restaurant...with nearby (cheaper) options available!
Nice and old atmosphere, so dont expect a Hilton room and bed.
After a warm welcome and a delicious cup of tea, we were shown to our very comfortable rooms. Spotlessly clean, fantastic views, excellent restaurant directly opposite and ideally positioned for historians and champagne lovers. In the morning, the smell of freshly baked bread filled the house.
Meredith and Bill were the perfect hosts, very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. There knowledge of the area was greatly appreciated, when it came to choosing places to visit. We had a lovely spacious twin room, very clean and beautifully dressed. We would certainly stay there again.
Everything we could ever expect from Champagne region come true in this hotel. Real paradise for the romantic trip to the heart of France. The hotel is very nice and comfortable from inside and outside and the hospitable and friendly owners let you feel at home. The place is quite and secluded.
the place , the people, the breakfast conversations, the garden, the location, the champagne... and we always get a good nights sleep
parking is a bit tight
All of it, it was nice and comfy and we felt at home.
You need a car to get there :-)
Bill and Meredith are charming and so interesting hosts Was a pleasure meeting them and share their lovely home
Good location, very calm, nice views on the hill
Beautiful rural location, peace and quiet to unwind, excellent hosts, rooms lovely with antique furniture and comfortable, good wholesome breakfast most enjoyable. Good local restaurants nearby.
After staying in various hotels in France for over 2 weeks where one is just a name & room number, it was a real treat to stay in this B & B guest house, with people who like people! The house is in a beautiful setting with far reaching views. Lots of books to read, table tennis & darts. There were various areas inside & out in which to relax. Bill & Meredith our hosts, were a wonderful couple who made us feel so welcome, it was like staying with friends. very relaxing. Great breakfast with interesting conversation.
Nothing to dislike.
Friendly couple , it felt like home from home, it was great to have their recommendations for the area. The additional lounge, conservatory and garden areas were great to relax in.
Beautiful country B&B. quiet small village. Close to Epernay &Reims. Owners are delightful American expats who will do anything to make your stay in champagne memorable.
We loved our stay! The owners were amazing, and took us to a local Champagne store for a test and viewing of the champagne process.
Lovely place, lovely breakfast, big clean rooms, great value for money! But what it really makes the place special are the owners: Bill and his wife, they are fantastic! They are so nice, kind and helpful they make you feel at home!
This place is nicely located in the champaign area and serves as a perfect getaway to discover it. The owners are really helpful to give information about eateries or about where to taste champaign. The house is completely in traditional style, but it has all the modern comfort needed. In the morning, you share the breakfast table with other guest. Breakfast is simple but very good (fresh bread!).
The forest house might need some maintance to get ready for the summer.
B&B was welcoming, comfortable, reasonably-priced and located in a charming former farmhouse. We had the twin bedroom and it was a generous size with comfortable beds and very clean modern amenities (there is also a wonderful book collection!). Meredith greeted us warmly and was a pleasure to speak with over a complimentary wine/beer when we arrived and also the next morning during breakfast. She made reservations for us at the one-star Michelin restaurant across the street and gave us some great suggestions for our travels both in the Champagne region and France in general. My husband and I spent a wonderful 19th anniversary in the Champagne B&B and would only stay there if/when we return to the region. I can recommend this establishment whole-heartedly and I am a very picky girl when it comes to lodging.
Not a thing. We were very happy with our stay.
The owners were charming - and interesting.
Climbing to the attic!
- the owners are very nice and friendly, they make you feel home for the stay. - rustic and nice house&garden - useful information for the region, highlighting the local flavors - very good breakfast (cheese, home made bread & marmalade and several other local products)
The lounge areas are a real bonus - a good place to sit and read in the evenings. Our room was quirky, with creaky floorboards to confirm the age of the building. Breakfast was a very friendly affair with all the guests chatting round the table.
The absence of a key to our room was a bit of a concern in security terms - although there were no issues.
Location. This could be amazing but the place is in need of a little TLC.
No keys or locks to secure rooms during day or night. Property could be excellent but was not very clean. We had to change rooms on a 2 night stay because of booking problems. Owners said it was due to booking.com but we had confirmation from booking.com and the owners that our 2 room reservation was confirmed. We found that the owners were too intrusive and opinionated for our liking but others may be happy with this. We also expected an authentic French breakfast experience but the owners made their own bread and jam. Could be great with a few minor adjustments.
The owners are two very friendly and intelligent people. The house is beautifully decorated. So, stylish! The location of the house surprised us a lot, because the garden has a hill wih a hammock and a terrace with a pond which allowed us to enjoy the sunset of Champagne. Furthermore, the breakfast was well-ballanced and every day different (fresh fruit, cheese, homemade bread, yoghurts, jams; juice/tea/coffe, etc.) which is not common for French breakfast. Also, we were told to use not only our room, but the living room too, which made us feel safe and relaxed.
Everything was perfect!
