Have to agree with most of the other reviewers of this hotel in that the hostess,Juliette, was excellent,friendly,funny and always had time for us.The continental breakfast was plentiful. The location is ideal if you want to be away from the city but close enough to the ferries/channel tunnel.We stayed in the area to visit wwII sites, Juliette was able to tell us the best places to visit.All in all a very nice place to stay.

We were fine with everything, there were however no tv's in the rooms which was fine by us but I can imagine it may not be to everyone's liking.There is a tv in the lounge area though for those that can't do without.

Nice characterful room. Quiet location. Good breakfast. Excellent hostess, friendly, attentive, chatty, very rapid French and English.

As always we are made to feel so welcome. Juliette cooked for us very late when we were delayed by a fire in Eurotunnel. The rooms are large and very comfortable and the food is excellent.

We personally don't like the pillows, but I am struggling to find anything we don't like

The nearness to the Channel Tunnel made this an ideal stop-over when travelling further south in France. The accomodation was excellent and our host, Juliette, could not do enough for us. She was an excellent host.

As always the owner is very friendly and helpful and prepared to wait whilst I stumble through my basic french. Her English is much better than my french but I enjoy trying knowing she will help when necessary. The food is excellen, all cooked by her.The room is large and comfortable and extremely clean.

Stayed there before, will do so again. Just a wee bit outside of Calais to avoid the bustle of the city but close enough to be perfect for the Channel crossings and shopping. Very nice rooms and bathroom is spacious.

We had a superb stay here, and the owner Juliette was extremely welcoming.The breakfast are excellent for Continental breakfasts with plenty of choice. There was only one initial setback. Sat Nav owners beware. When you input the Postcode and address you end up, at a council estate in the next village, with a very surprised old lady resident coming to the door. This is not the hotel, thankfully, and a quick call to Juliette, who told us she was in the next village in the same named road with the same postcode. What a relief! Also if you find stairs difficult, ask for a downstairs room, as they are quite difficult to negotiate. Overall our stay was very good. Thank you Julieete.

The stairs were a little difficult, as they are slatted, and I am not good, when I can see through them. Lorries go past at very high speed, and make a lot of noise early morning.

Situated in the countryside only 15 mins from Tunnel/25 mins from port, this is an excellent stayover when travelling across the channel (in either direction). The staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful - they'll fill flasks with coffee, etc for onward bound picnic! Quiet area - good night's sleep. The evening meals are high standard French home cooking and served with a smile. I have stayed here twice now and always recommend it to my friends (who have also stayed and similarly loved). Excellent value for money and a great start/finish to a holiday.

Very friendly,wecolming and nothing was too much trouble. Room clean and spacious and anything we asked about or were not sure of was always answered. The food was good. A lovely way to start a holiday in France.

Juliette our host was fantastic! She was very welcoming and was keen to ensure that we had everything we needed. She was able to recommend shopping locally and places to see. She was also very encouraging of our son as he tried out his french. Chantebise was perfect for our family it was clean and spacious. Breakfast was simple and just what you would expect from an Auberge. We would definitely book again when we return to that area.
