I liked absolutely everything - hospitality, good food, cleanliness and comfort. The best overnite stay I've ever had - all thanks to Juliette. |

As usual, Juliette & Cedric couldn't have been more helpful, moving us to a ground-floor room as I had had an injury. Excellent home-prepared food. This was our third visit and will not be the last; following a change of ownership at our previous favourite hotel in the area, Chantebise will now be our routine stopover on our regular trips to France. |

We enjoyed our stay, the accomodation is a converted barn. The breakfasts and dinner were excellent, prepared by the friendly hostess Juliette. It was very nice to receive a text from her when we had booked. |

The staff/owners could not have been more charming, helpful and welcoming. There was an instant feeling of being cared for and that you mattered. The room was spotless and the home cooked dinner excellent. It is the best stop-over hotel near Calais that we have come across to date. |

Very friendly staff ensured a very pleasant stay. Even offering to cook additional meals for our young daughter and making sure everything was to our liking. We booked the Chantebise as an overnight stay while driving from central Europe to the UK. Perfect result. Great food, great hospitality and we would definitely stay again. |

After 9 hrs driving we received a wonderful welcome from our hostess. Our room was comfortable with queen sized bed, bath/shower huge and separate WC; everything fresh and clean. Tasty country French cooking for our evening meal and relaxed chat in French and English with our hostess and family. All just 15 mins from the tunnel. |

Juliet was extremely welcoming and the rooms in her barn conversion were large and comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. This is an ideal stopover or base for a short break in the Calais/Boulogne hinterland. She can provide dinner but not the night we were there but her restaurant recommendations were great. |

Lovely and very spacious quadruple room, with plenty of space - friendly and helpful owners gave advice and directions on where to eat/shop etc. Charming rustic feel. Very clean, lots of books/guides available in communal area. |

We were welcomed warmly and shown to our beautiful, spacious room by Juliette, for whom nothing was too much trouble. She was able to direct us to a lovely restaurant for our evening meal which was very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent with fresh bread, croissants etc. This was a last minute choice but it was excellent and being convenient for Calais we would certainly stay there again, as well as recommending it to friends. We couldn't come up with any negatives at all! |

We were warmly welcomed at Chantebise and the room was large and lovely. The breakfast was plain and not very interesting. Only one juice (orange)and one cereal (cornflakes). It would be much better to include muesli, yoghurt and perhaps some boiled eggs (they have chickens roaming around the garden!!!) |

The owner is very, very nice. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to taste her famous food because she did not cook that day. The garden is so nice and also the room was very good. Maybe a little noisy during the morning as we stayed downstairs. Breakfast was a little poor i think.- cheese(2 kind of cheese), sweets, butter, croissants, tea, milk and coffee |

A lovely hotel in a rural setting about ten minutes from the motorway. The hostess Juliette was charming, and made everyone feel like one of the family, nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. They even had tea/coffee making facilities. The meal we ate there was superb. |

it was excellent value for money, we had a really large room, with large en suite bathroom and en suite WC all very clean and very comfortable. We were very warmly welcomed by the proprietor, who recommended a lovely local restuarant and what was intended to be an inexpensive un special stop over before our journey back to UK through the tunnel became a lovely extremely enjoyable last night. We will definately stay there again and maybe give ourselves more time to explore the area. |

The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming (perhaps even a bit too much!), the room and the common areas were spotless and nicely decorated, breakfast was standard but good. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Maybe a bit too far from the coast. While we were there, the yearly village party was going on and it was quite noisy till about midnight. I think guests should be told about this by the hotel when they are booking. As my boyfriend is very tall, he found the bath/shower a bit small, as our room was under the roof. |

Everything, julliet our host was amazing, she went above an beyond her role, to make us feel comfortable. The room was beautiful, an old french barn conversion full of charicter with stone walls, but extremy modern inside, bath was beautiful, surroundings were stunning, wissant beach just a 10 min drive away with huge white sandy beaches. |

Our second visit - passing through again from UK to south of France. A delight - charming room, a very warm welcome, even though we arrived quite late and were only staying one night, good breakfast, lovely public rooms, ample car parking and a tucked away location. Normal incandescent bulbs in reading lights - hooray! |
