View of Chateau from bedroom window, excellent price for very central location, pleasant staff.
Plastic toilet seat and folding door on en-suite.
Location, friendly staff who can speak perfect English and always full of smile. The hotel may not be the super new hotel, in fact it's in a old building without lift. Thought it will be noisy that we open the window, surprisingly, it's not. Near to some castle and lots of shopping and eateries around
Wifi is weak.
The owner was unpleasant. The WIFI DOES NOT WORK (read all the reviews). When we asked he started to blame the server, the authorities, life in general. Breakfast was horrible. Did not save Amboise from being a very boring place.
Friendly and helpful staff; small but comfortable and clean room. Quiet, even though in the heart of the city center. Convenient to shops, restaurants, sights.
Parking is a bit of a challenge, but not impossible.
Easy walk to tourist sights in town, food, restaurants, and other sights in area.
Clean budget hotel in good location
Value - Amboise and area are a great place to visit
No onsite parking - had to find a place and walk - rooms was hard to get too - stairs and long hallways
Reception very helpful
Very quaint faulty towersque place. Owner on site friendly but only staff spoke english. Room a bit dark. No outside noise. Bed was very comfortable, with extra blankets in the closet. The shower enclosures were very new, the water warm/hot, but may be a bit cool for real boiling water enthusiasts with liquid soap dispensers that had good quality soap. Had to unplug tv for a power outlet to change my device. Or use outlet in bathroom. Overall 8/10 for budget travellers.
We were here offseason, therefore cooler weather.Room was cool. Heater was timed, but never seemed to come on. Lights in dark hallway timed to go off, finding light switches difficult.
We could walk to everything and we were directed to free parking nearby. The room was adequate.
The shower is very small and the breakfast was mediocre. Best to go down the street to a patisserie. No elevator.
Very friendly manager. A "real" queensized bed (not 2 single mattresses) with one quilt cover and the most comfortable sleep during our 7 week trip. Cheap, clean comfortable room. Well located near motor way.
Good location and price with an excellent breakfast. The room amd bathroom were small but it is a good price for what you get.
Size but again it's classed as 1 star so its fine
Everything. Receptionist very friendly and helpful.
No on-site parking
The location was excellent for visiting the Chateau. Only a short walk away.
Parking was difficult and too far from the hotel
location is good and staff OK
very small rooms and bathroom especally if a coupe - some need restoration and a bit of a new look
no close free parking lots
No Elevator - Staff = C+ Parking is 3 or 4 blocks away from hotel
Cleanliness, great staff , wonderful buffet breakfast. Excellent location. A great no frills find for a good price
Depressing interior and rooms
Very friendly staff, who knew what an itinerant tourist would want to know. Very well situated for chateau and restaurants. Plenty of nearby parking
Hotel right in centre , breakfast good , cycle storage good , helpful staff
no air con , very warm nights , had fan but not as good , rooms ok but cheap plastic bathroom fittings shower cubicle small and I am only 70 kilos and 1.75 height
Quiet. Concientious manager. Short walk to all facilities including free parking. Value.
The size of the rooms was good, the location was good value for money excellent.
parking not bad but directions to it would be good.
