Chateau a’Ardree is simply stunning and from my experience of travelling in France and beyond if right at the top of the most amazing placed I have stayed. The restoration of the Chateau and grounds is impeccable and yet it retains a the sort of loved and lived in patina that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in....you can curl up in one of the sofas with a book and drink and let the hours drift by. We really enjoyed every moment of our stay at the castle. Chris was a great host, always taking care to details to make our stay perfect. He was flexible for our late arrival, very attentive with us at all times and gave us great recommendations of things to do and visit. The castle is well maintained and tastefully decorated; the breakfast at the grand salon is superb and the area around the building is peaceful and has the full essence of the Vallée de la Loire. Spending a couple nights in the castle is really an unforgettable experience!

Staying here is like living in a real 'château'. The whole place is superbly furnished, with a perfect union of old and design decorations. Kelly and Chris go all the way to make you feel welcome. Kelly's tips on what to do and see are worth gold - better than a tourist office. The breakfast is incredibly good - fresh fruit, veggies from the garden, home made things... We have already traveled a lot, but Château d'Ardrée is definitely in our top 3 of most remarkable stays ever, mainly because of the great hosts Kelly and Chris.
