Château D'artigny  

All my stay were a disaster...First of all, they took a look at my reservation and they said that my room were outside, not in the castle. And when I asked how they know because in my reservation said "In the castle or outside" the said "because I made a reservation in booking.com. By yourself. You not a group. Inside the castle only if you came with a group." I propose to pay the difference but they said that the price was the same, inside or outside the castle. Then they put us in one very small room so far from the castle and we left the hotel in the second day.

Amazing hotel, staff were fantastic, hotel is beautiful and the food was some of the best i have eaten in France.

Majestic on the outside, very nice bar. The room we received was larger (an upgrade?) than we anticipated.

Location not well marked and difficult to find. I cancelled my original reservation because I couldn't change the package, but they did not acknowledge that I did this. The Dining staff were not very accomodating and made it very uncomfortable. Bathroom could use an update. We most likely will not return.

The unadulterated splendour, the floral displays, the grounds were stunning. The waiting staff at dinner were good, at breakfast, not so.It is well positioned to visit surrounding towns and villages etc.

The service at breakfast....buffet type..was dreadful. I don't pay that sort of money to serve myself. The tables were left littered with the detritous of other guests for long periods of time. The teabags were terrible. It took around 3 -4 to get a decent cup of tea. As with most buffets the food was lukewarm at best. I was shocked when I realised breakfast was served in such a manner. Not what one expects of such a place All over the hotel are cards asking guests to dress appropriately at dinner and to respect other diners. I do not consider polo shirts and shorts/chinos or open-necked casual shirts and very casual trousers appropriate when one considers the splendour and overall luxurious appearance of the chateau. This was an immense upset. We did dress appropriately, my husband in a suite, shirt and tie and I wore cocktail. It felt more like what I imagine people would wear camping!. The suite was booked as a birthday surpise for my husband. The bathroom, which was large and spacious had 1 small single use bottle of shampoo and shower gel only ,yet it was a suite for 2 and there was a bath and separate shower. The brand of toiletries was poor also. I expected at least Moulton brown or some such equally luxurious brands. There was a bottle of white wine awaiting our arrival which was nicely wrapped but was warm. I had prepayed and booked for a bottle of champagne to be in the suite as a surprise. It wasn't there. I spoke with a Mme Rocher who reduced the bill and who apologised for the immense disappointment felt by us, which was a superb gesture but nothing will compensate for our feelings of disappointment on a very special birthday

We had dinner at the Chateau in the three nights we stayed there. The food was always delicious and the service was outstanding.

The elevator to the second floor was small and slow, the rooms deserved a little more investment considering the prices charged.

The room was lovely, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive.

Wonderful staff especially concierge and restaurant staff. Front desk (Sandie) particularly helpful.

Second room (17) had poor bathroom fittings, shower was poor with just a trickle of water from it and this was an expensive room! A rare insect was trapped against upper window in the lobby and I asked a staff member for help to open the window. She just disappeared and ignored the request leaving me to ask the receptionist who was helpful at all times.

The room was clean and spacious. The whole ambiance was very welcoming.

Too expensive and not a good value for money. Buffet breakfast for Euro22 was very poor; on the last day, they ran out of croisants, brown bread, salmon and ham; when asked for more bread, the waiter just responded, there is only white available. Only after intervention of the superior, they gave as a bit of extra ham. After dinner bar was extremely expensive - the cheapest cognac was about Euro40. The stuff was very tense most of the time and we felt like being under some kind of surveillance.

Брал номер для того чтобы почувствовать себя в замке. Это реально оправдалось. Все ухожено, прибрано. Персонал вышколенный. Тетушка на ресепшн была с очень правильным английским произношением - такая настоящая леди. Обстановка в отеле соответсвует духу замка - шикарный вид из окон с одной стороны на долину с другой на парк. Вполне можно порекомендовать для романтической ночи.

Вай фай работает только в холле, По ТВ (как и во всех других посещенных мной отелях) ни одного канала хотя бы на английском. Цены на ужин и все дополнительные услуги - зашкаливают.

Magnifique hôtel dans un havre de paix et de nature. Excellent restaurant. Week-ends sympathiques avec concert et gastronomie.

Chambre sentant la fumée. Equipement sanitaire ne correspondant pas au standing de l'hôtel.

Ce château prestigieux est d'un romantisme rare. Au cœur de la Touraine, on y sent encore la trace d'un homme exceptionnel, le parfumeur Coty, génie des parfums, amis des arts et du raffinement ultime.accueil a la hauteur, piscine bien chauffée au coin du grand parc, vastes chambres au décor classique et a la propreté irréprochable, calme absolu. Enfin, dans la grande salle a manger ou l'on se croirait a Versailles, offrez- vous la cuisine parfaite d'un chef qui associe les saveurs et les textures et maitrise la cuisson avec une exigence rare. Nous y avons vécu deux diners et deux nuits inoubliables.
