The location. The closeness to the sea. The privacy of our outside sitting area.
Whole establishment deserted and locked at 15.30hrs. The accommodation offered was self-catering with a 30 euro charge to use kitchen. Request for evening meal refused. Minimal breakfast provided. On raising a query with booking.com agent was not listening to any specific points of my request.
The views - wonderful The bed - excellent Location - very handy for us
No drawers for storage 2 tea bags + 2 sachets of coffee + 2 sugars - to last four days. No milk and no cups!! - No more forthcoming despite request Wi fi not consistent. No comfy seats in room Breakfast not worth 9.5E
The view. We could use a shared kitchen for early morning milk bottle.
It's a place run for weddings and seminars. So they didn't invest a lot in comfort and facilities. The room was not very spacious with limited storage furniture. We stayed during the week, it's better to avoid the weekends as they have two venues - which unfortunately deteriorate the landscape. They should also improve the decoration in the main building.
Beautiful location, incredibly comfortable bed, friendly staff.
We rented a house which was listed as having a kitchen, only to find a sign in the kitchen upon arriving stating that it was only for visitors who stayed longer than 6 days. Using the kitchen anyway would have resulted in a 30 euro fine. Couldn't help but feel a bit cheated. When staying in a cheap hotel (or flying with Ryan Air) you expect tricks like this, but this is an nice place and I expected more of them. Also wifi reception was fairly non existent in the house, you had to walk to the main building/hotel with your laptop/phone to use the internet.
The location is excellent, the grounds are gorgeous and the beach at the end of the property is great for walking. Excellent bicycling routes in the area too. A delightful stopover place.
Wi-Fi was having a bad hair day.
We had a great stay in one of the little houses in the grounds of the chateau . The house was well appointed and we had two terraces with views of the estuary .
Stayed in one of the little houses, not proposed the main house. Good location even when windy.
Not told that entrance/kitchen area is to be shared with next door visitors. Not allowed to use kitchen if the stay is shorter than 6 nights or must pay €30, expensive for a cup of tea ! TV plug but no TV.
