Hotel Le Bayeux is located in the historic center of Bayeux in the Lower Normandy region. It offers accommodations with private bathrooms with free Wi-Fi internet access.
Score from 626 reviews Very good
The Novotel Bayeux is situated between Caen and Cherbourg in Normandy. It is just half a mile from the famous Bayeux Tapestry and the historic center of town.
Score from 286 reviews Very good
Located in the centre of Bayeux, the Domaine de Bayeux is set in a chateau featuring a tree-lined park. Antique furnishings, ornate detailing and garden views are offered in these spacious suites.
Score from 66 reviews Excellent
This hotel is in the heart of Normandy, a region rich in scenery and history, near the D-Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux and Caen and in a seaside town full of charm and attractions all year round.
Score from 252 reviews Good
Bedroom and bed, grounds, location, quality of the buildings, history.
The park surrounding the hotel is quite nice. There are rooms in the main bulding and in another one .. so check. Good breakfast.
The center is in a walking distance but there others hotels much closer.
The ambience of the Château, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location - out of the centre yet so near to all the attractions of Bayeux. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel to family members and friends.
The only flaw was that only one waitress was on duty at breakfast and consequently was not always alert to shortages of hot food and bread when they arose.
A good location within easy walking distance to the Bayeux cathedral and centre. Not the nicest walk after dark, but manageable. Lovely garden with ample opportunities for relaxation, watching the fishes and birds in the water or perhaps have a tennis match. Superb large room with all the old luxurious castle decoration details you'd expect, combined with a very elegant newly decorated bathroom. Everything fresh and spotlessly cleaned. Very welcoming common areas, with a good restaurant on-site. The lobster is excellent. One of the few hotels we stayed at which actually had an elevator! And that says it all - all the elegance and ambience of before, with the convenience of today.
Great Grounds. Very Peaceful
Bathrooms need updating. Mildew smell.
Comfortable room, large spa in ensuite, all set in a beautiful building on the outskirts, but only a few minutes drive to central Bayeaux. Chateau has beautiful gardens to sit in and relax.
Easy to walk into town to see the tapestry, cathedral etc. But feels almost rural.
If your visiting Bayeaux or Normandy, this is a beautiful setting close to downtown Bayeaux. The hotel has beautiful rooms and grounds. I would highly recommend it.
Food good. Staff friendly. Nice bedroom.
Bit too pricey. Not sure if it should be a three star?
Location, facilities, peace and quiet, beautiful grounds.
Toilet and bathroom on different levels.
Lovely garden and ample parking on site parking.
Lack of room service
The rooms are beautiful....this. Is our second stay...and very good for the price range. Dinner was also excellent, at a reasonable price with very good local food. We will definitely return, even if an overnight stay eans we don't use the beautiful gardens! We recommend this highly and appreciate their attitude towards their guests and the use of the beautiful chateau.
Nothing. Not only is it a beautiful and convenient ace to stay near to Channel ports, but it is also genuinely priced and therefore excellent value.
Location and place Traditional French decoration Garden and nature Price /quality relation Quiet atmosphere
Some bathrooms are very basic for a 4* (top floor) There are little options for a light dinner
We liked the lovely setting it is in large garden area with swans and ducks in the stream in the gardens. Staff very nice, food good and so close to Bayeux town. We went to visit the Beaches of Normandy and the Museums very interesting. And on an evening it was so nice relaxing sat outside having a drink before and after dinner
We stayed in the stable block. The only thing was that in the brochure it stated that the living room was on the ground floor and the bedroom was upstairs on the first floor, but it was the other way round bedroom down stairs living room upstairs. Other than that everything else was perfect
The gardens were superb. We took our dog and it was a perfect area to go for early morning walks
Tranquil, waterbirds, generous, delicious dinner, large comfotable room. Felt like royalty.
Unfortunate evening with crazy waiter, but he's likely gone now.
Very close to a variety of shops and facilities in Bayeaux, comfortable accommodation, tennis court, kids play area and wild fowl filled waterways to entertain our little one. Very practical and mostly peaceful place to stay in the area.
The family friendly duplex accommodation feels cheaply constructed, and was stylistically disappointing when compared with our friend's room in 'the main house'. Very close to a train line.
Beautifull chateau and grounds. We were in the annex which was a duplex suite spotless high speck fittings large comfy bed down stairs lovely linen double bed also upstairs seating area and patio with table and chairs and loungerVery good breakfast. The lady in chrge was really nice and very helpfull. The gardens are just beautifull with a small river running through with all kinds of ducks and swans.Children are also catered for with a play area pool table and tennis courts.Lots of seating in the lovely grounds. We would love to go there again.
The only thing I could find fault with was the unreliable wify.
Excellent staff, courteous and helpful. Good value for money full breakfast buffet each morning.
Drinks were a bit pricey.
Beautiful surroundings and accomodation. Very welcoming and helpful Staff. Excellent breakfast.Very close to Bayeux town centre, a great base location for exploring the beaches and museums.
Proximity to City centre Duplex suites were very comfortable Gardens were relaxing
Breakfasts were disappointing for the extra cost Railway line behind Chateau rather noisy
The grounds were beautiful and the accommodations were very nice. The staff members were very helpful and kind. We only wish we had more time to spend there.
A hotel in its own grounds with a small lake with swans, ducks etc. Room was a little dated, but comfortable, bathroom could benefit from modernisation.
We really liked this place it was nice, nicely situated in respect to Omaha beach and Bayeux. Room was clean and up to standard including bathroom, we stayed in the main building, there is also an Annex. Very lovely garden to relax sipping your afternoon drink. Breakfast was good with a fair selection of items to choose from. The dinner was good value for money, its not haute-cuisine, but chef has ambitions, nice wine list, all reasonably priced. Staff friendly and help full. Overall a good experience.
It was situated close to the rail track, we never had a problem we only heard the train being in the garden, worth mentioning.
Food, helpful attitude, location. Children could play freely on the tennis court
No wifi in the annex
