Score from 200 reviews Wonderful
Beautiful grounds, authentic French feel, free parking and easy access.
Breakfast was too pricey, not super close to Bayeux town sites and shops.
All of it .
Price of drinks and no shower .
After a Miserable first night, we were given a much much nicer room
Everything is old!! And out of date. Excellent location. Lovely stream and bridge in the large front yard with wonderful swans and ducks and two large rats swimming along the shore. I swear.
Lovely decor, cosy room, really comfy bed, great value
Staff were fantastic Country/manor house feel Beds and rooms Out of town but 10min walk into it Only 10 min walk to Station
Wifi in Annex is weak or non-existant but good in foyer/lounge and great in rooms in the main building
Welcome Comfortable bed Pleasant grounds
Expensive breakfast Thin towels
spectacular chateau in quiet rural setting, yet it was a short walk away from the train station and downtown. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Best value for money that we experienced in France.
Rug in room needs replacing (stained) and shower fixture took some experimenting to figure out.
Location, staff friendliness, room decor
Tea/Coffee should be provided in the rooms.
Beautiful old château located conveniently in Reims. Walking distance to the tapestry and other features of the town and an easy drive to the Normandy beaches.
Light, large airy room, a little lacking in privacy unless the curtains were pulled. Excellent bed, bathroom facilities. Wonderful selection for breakfast.
The dinner was disappointing-dry overcooked chicken tasting of hot fat and greasy chips-inedible. The worst meal we have ever had in France. Service slow.No regional dishes on menu. Catering for Americans?
AREA WAS GREAT --EASY TO WALK EVERYWHERE--
BREAKFASTS ARE NOT A GOOD DEAL---BUY SEPARATE AND FIND A PLACE TO BUY COFFEE!!!!!
It is a beautiful setting, and we had a nice welcome. Our waiter at dinner was friendly and helpful.
While we had our dinner some guests in the adjoining lounge had the TV on at a deafening volume, and a French guest had to ask for it to be toned down. Breakfast was chaotic. Not only had the depleted dishes not been refilled, but my partner had to go looking for someone to give us some coffee. There was no staff in the dining room, and tables were cluttered with dirty dishes (8:30a.m.). This establishment definitely did not live up to expectations.
Room in annex was quite spacious. Swans, ducks, etc., added a nice touch.
Paid for breakfast and there was not enough food and we were told it was not possible to have more. There were not any other restaurants near by. The wi-Fi did not work in the rooms.
A beautiful chateau in large attractive grounds. Our room was gorgeous, and very spacious. We loved everything about it. The chateau felt rural but was actually within walking distance of central Bayeux. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant is also open for dinner.
Location close to Bayeux Pleanty of space in the room
Restuarant sevice very poor Food quality not great
We loved the breakfast it was fabulous. Their dinner was very good. The staff was helpful. The rooms are large. They have light up swans - decorations are quite disco.
Had a difficult time getting in touch with them to confirm our reservation which led to confusion upon arrival. Wifi is not great and doesn't work in the rooms. The decorations are quite disco.
The location, although Bayeux and it's excellent restaurants are a good 15 minute walk and the noise from the railway and ring road are quite intrudive
The service was poor at best it took 20 minutes for pre dinner drinks and over an hour after ordering to finish one course, which was not great either, also much more expensive than most restaurants in town, which were excellent
Pretty garden, but needed a lot of attention.
Traditional room with bath/hand shower and no curtain. Noise from machinery/fan (?) all night, which was obviously known about, as we got a reduced rate. Service was appalling in restaurant/lounge; in fact walked out in desperation after waiting 40 mins for them to serve a G&T, which was undrinkable. Went to Bayeux for a meal on a Sunday night, which was in desperation
Front desk staff was not particulariarly friendly or helpful. Restaurant and bar was closed to guest at checkin due to a private event. No alternative options fo food or drinks was provided.
The setting is lovely and the main reception rooms are lovely.
The size and decor of the bedrooms, a poor shower which looked grubby. The dinner was poor and the service dreadful,we waited for 30 mins just to get a menu.
Everything was a delight - Yann deserves a special mention - a wonderful maitre de who made dinner an event! Just perfect
Everything! The staff couldn't do enough for us. So accommodating. Would stay again if given the chance .
Great room. Exception facilities. Enjoyed the stay
Breakfast was expensive
Friendliness of staff Very accomadating Beautiful location Wonderful room
Loved the house, garden, dinner, breakfast
Didn't like stable room. 2 story, not hot water in 1/2 bath, so had to go upstairs to wash hands after toilet. Bed too low. No wireless in stables.
