I loved the grounds, and the main house.

The staff was sometimes rude and unwelcoming. Didn't feel too welcome

A beautiful & very peaceful property, just out of Bayeux, but nice walk into the main area. Lovely rooms & all extras taken care of on request.

The location ,it was very close to the centre of town and the Bayeux Tapestry.It has beautiful grounds and we found the staff very helpful and friendly.The rooms are beautiful.It is a very relaxing environment.

The room we were in had no stand up showers,not good for tall people or those who do not like having a bath.

Chateau setting with ducks and swans swimming in the moat. Easy walk to charming town. Good dinners in a small dining room.

The WiFi required reentry of complex user name and password (which changed daily) every time my iPhone disconnected.

Over-all suited our needs

The setting was beautiful! We stayed in the family apartment, which was gorgeously appointed and very large! We arrived very late (2am), and we were greeted with friendliness and understanding. Highly recommend!

Wonderful staff, great wine cellar, good prices, good food, easy to find, near Bayeux, charming rooms, lovely pond with swans and ducks. This is not a member of a corporate hotel chain, it's a country estate turned hotel and it's very charming.

It met all my expectations for a charming country side hotel in France, and there was NOTHING I did not like - it was all very good.

Delighted with our accommodation. The grounds were stunning, green and lush. We loved the lake and the wildlife especially the swans! Rooms were very comfortable and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent served in a lovely solarium. And dinner was superb. Very happy with the location, only an easy stroll into town so close enough to be involved but far enough away to feel we were out in the country. Fabulous

Bathroom ...just handheld shower

Wow what a fabulous chateau. It is small by French standards but as we arrived we were stunned by its beauty. The enormous gardens have a river on 2 sides with the most amazing type of ducks that we have never seen before and a pair is swans. The rooms 9 and 10 we stayed in are inside the hotel on the third floor up the lift. Beautiful rooms with really comfy beds and large bathroom with oval bath. Lovely bath robes and bath towels with shampoo and body lotion etc. the hotel is only a mile from the centre of town and could be walked to in about 20 mins but we drove in. We ate in the hotel that evening as we were tired and had an excellent dinner of fish although they are definitely catering for Brits and Yanks as all meals came with chips. However we asked for vegetables instead which they provided. Food is a bit too nouveau cuisine for the cost. They have a tennis court , table tennis, and a pool table in the lower ground are which is the oldest part of the hotel being 17 th century. . Make sure you spend a bit extra and try one of their liqueurs from the trolley in the lounge. Madame at reception seems to do everything from booking in to taking the orders for dinner . At breakfast which in a very pretty room there was a spread of meats cheese and breads. The orange juice which was freshly squeezed, maybe with the help of the ants?

This stay was ruined by the attitude of the staff and the restaurant. It's a shame that breakfast is extra as at 130 EU it should have been included. poor staff manner. I think from her manner is overworked and underpaid . If she is the owner I would have liked her a bit friendlier. It is a shame that the decorators were lazy and failed to finish off painting the windows as there are paint streaks dripping on them which should have been scraped off and ruins the general look.\At breakfast the croissants were cheap small sad excuses and not from a patisserie. There was a machine for boiling eggs which did not have enough water in it and the waiter shrugged his shoulders but eventually brought out more water which was cold so the machine took time to reheat. Also the water in the machine did not look like it had been changed in weeks and was dirty and smelly . There was a crack in my mug which I showed the waiter, he just shrugged his shoulders and took a cup from another table and gave it to me without removing the broken one. We found ants on the breakfast bar where all the food was and again he shrugged his shoulders and " they come from outside" and walked away. At least it didn't look as though the ants had eaten much and it was lucky that my wife had finished eating before they were noticed or we would have walked out. The restaurant was obviously dirty and I wouldnt recommend eating there and would not have done if we had known. The waiter was lazy and unhelpful. The one night stay cost us 252EU!! 140EU the room, 28EU for breakfast, 11EU for 2 coffees, 61EU for dinner, 10EU for a coke an apricot juice. Dont be fooled this is just too expensive compared to other hotels even if in pretty surroundings. We have stayed in better hotels in the city itself.

dinner order muddled although food very good, one main course was off menu and not told till other 3 members of party had their dishes. !! did not spoil our visit, everything else very good.

Did not like the high sides of the bath tub, was dangerous and slippery without GRAB bars. A shower curtain of glass or fabric would be smart.

Beautiful room. Well appointed. Courteous and helpful staff. Carts and elevator to move large luggage easily. Convenient and free parking. A good English breakfast. Beautiful setting. Convent to local historic attractions. Good-excellent local restaurants.

Wonderful location, wonderful staff, great dinner. Bayeux was very nice, taxis were always on time, overall, very good time value, and experience.

The breakfast for 14 euros was not adequate. The only thing to criticize.

The location is very good for touring the Normandie sites. Being very close to Bayeaux made alternate dinner plans easily accessible. The front desk also suggested various laundry facilities in town so we didn't necessarily have to use the hotel cleaning service.

The WiFi check in process was a bit cumbersome, but having it available was a plus.

The Chateau was amazing!!!! Absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff was a bit rude and they didn't really know English. On one of the mornings my husband and I decided to have breakfast at 7:30am (we were told breakfast began at 7:30am) because we had to meet our tour at 8:20am. Unfortunately, breakfast was not nearly close to being ready. The hot food was still cooking and the buffet was still being set-up. Sad to say we didn't enjoy breakfast and still had to pay 14 euro per person.

Distance from town, best to have a car. Currently undergoing renovations at reception and therefore not very appealing upon entering. Only a bath, no shower head.

Very pleasant location, good sized bedroom with ample room and good sized bathroom. Comfortable and clean. Pleasant lake with ducks and swans.Easy parking in the grounds.

The food at dinner was very poor and expensive. This meant that the location out of town, which should have been ideal, was not as you have to drive into town or get a taxi to go to eat. No kettle/hot drinks in room
