Château de Boucéel

Best linens, delicious breakfast, fascinating history, host par excellence. Quiet serene surroundings, gorgeous rooms. What a treat! Wish we didn't have to leave...

The only possible improvement would be more consistent WiFi access.

This great chateau comes with the great hospitality of the owner something to remember long after you return!

Wonderful stay and great owners. Very interesting history and willingness to share the history of the region and his family. Highly recommend.

The room was actually more like a suite, with a seperate dressing area and bathroom. The large bed was very comfortable. The Wifi worked well. The Comte and Comtesse are extremely good hosts. It was worth staying here just to hear the stories of his father's exploits recounted by the Comte and beautifully set out in the book of drawings that he has had put together. The chateau itself is in an idylic setting and it was nice just to walk around the grounds, pat the donkeys and talk to the geese.

Breakfast was included but there was only one fresh croissant left by the time we came down for it and although when asked the Comte fetched another, it had obviously just been microwaved. Suffice to say this hardly ruined our stay and it will just teach us to get up before the Americans next time!

M le Comte is a wonderful man, very interesting and passionate about both his beautiful home and family history, especially during World War II. We strongly recommend staying at Chateau du Bouceel.

Just perfect

The chateau is just wonderful and our room was simply to die for. We were given a suite (with 2 bedrooms and one enormous bathroom) with beautiful views stretching over the fields. The count and countess could not have been more welcoming, warm and solicitous. The swimming pool was a great surprise and as spotless as the rest of the hotel. Breakfast (included) was delicious and we also particularly enjoyed their collection of military memorabilia from WW2.

Only that it's quite difficult to find (you must follow the few signs to Bouceel and not Vergoncey) and that it's, basically, in the middle of nowhere, which is it's charm, but you have to travel to find a restaurant and also, of course, to go to Mont Saint-Michel (which is very near: 17km).

Excellent host. Beautiful room in a lovely family owned Chateau. Spotlessly clean also. Very quiet out of the way location. Good restaurants recommended a short drive away.

הטירה מרשימה במראה מבחוץ ובפנים. היחס האישי של בעל הטירה והסיפורים, ארוחת בוקר בסיסית אבל טעימה מאד, חדר שינה גדול מאד, מיטה נוחה , חדר רחצה מאובזר היטב וגדול. הסביבה הטבעית נעימה לעין, ואפשר גם לטייל בבוקר בטבע(למי שזה מתאים לו).

בערב היה שומם וקצת קר. נראה שהמחיר קצת יקר, ויחד עם זאת בשביל שירות מהרוזן צריך לשלם...

Cadre magnifique et isolé mais proche du Mont Saint Michel. Le Chateau vaut en lui même le détour. Y aller c'est faire d'une pierre deux coup.

Un chateau "chambre d'hote" merveilleux pour un week end romantique, l'accueil du marquis est excellent ... on en conserve un beau souvenir ... à refaire ....le marquis est également de bon conseil pour les tables alentours.

El simple hecho de dormir en un castillo a una excelente relación clidad precio. Las habitaciones son perfectas, el jardín estupendo, con su capilla del s.XII y sus patos en el riachuelo. Y los dueños todo un ejemplo de cómo ser un buen anfitrión.

Il castello di Boucéel e' molto bello. C'e' una bellissima biblioteca che gli ospiti possono usare, un fantastico salone per la piccola colazione con la grande finestra che da su un grande e tenuto accuratamente giardino. La camera da letto, molto confortevole, ed il grande bagno sono arredati con gli antichi e bellissimi mobili di famiglia del Conte. Lo consigliamo a tutti coloro che amano le cose belle. Infine, ma non per ultimo, la disponibilita' e la cortesia del proprietario, il Conte, di questo fantastico e affascinante castello. Ps: e' gia' la seconda volta che soggiorniamo a lo Chàteau de Boucéel .

Exceptionnel! Le lieu, l'acceuil, le propriétaire, les chambres, le petit déjeuner, tout est exceptionnel. Le château est magnifique. Calme absolu. 20/20
