This former royal residence is located in Chissay-en-Touraine, 5.6 km from Chateau de Chenonceau. It offers free Wi-Fi and spacious rooms with views of the park or outdoor swimming pool and terrace.
Score from 83 reviews Very good
This 19th-century chateau is located in a large park with an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. It is located in Veigné, a 10-minute drive from Tours.
Score from 231 reviews Wonderful
This truly historic boutique hotel opened its doors in 1846. It is in the center of the city in the heart of the tourist and shopping area, and is near the Tours TGV train station.
Score from 627 reviews Very good
Situated in the Loire valley, Le Clos de la Chesneraie is set in a 19th-century house, typical for the Tours region. It offers individually decorated rooms with antique furniture and free Wi-Fi...
Score from 44 reviews Wonderful
It's got character in spades. A genuine old chateau still owned and operated like a traditional estate. With a certain faded elegance that would expect. Very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
The outdoor gardens and grounds. It was fun to explore the downstairs rooms of the castle.
Not very clean. We expected it to be a lot cleaner for what it cost to stay here. Very worn upholstery, bed linens, etc.
A very pleasant and warm staff in a beautiful chateau. The prince was le prince jardinier was delightful. One of our favourite places in france
A great experience. The garden was a wonderful surprise. It would have been nice to learn more about the history of the chateau.
The price was too high, especially for breakfast! 16 euros each and we must pay extra for an egg??? Really. Totally out of line.
Amazing collection of 650 varieties of tomato plus superb collection of Dahlia and roses and a new apple orchard. Very nice light lunch with onteresting tomatoes in tea room.
Stopped serving food too early in evening. Had to order breakfast item by item the night before. Service very slow. Poor Internet wifi. Waitresses noisy heels!
I was attracted by the appearance of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good locations and close to a few chateau and Tours.
Many mosquitoes at night and bit my son.
Beautiful chateau and grounds. Beautiful room.
We were travelling to the south of France, from the UK, and stopped overnight at the Chateau. We had had a very long and tiring day, and firstly it was very difficult to find the chateau, directions not very clear. We met up with our daughter and son-in-law, also staying. Being very tired and hungry, we were most disappointed that we couldn't have any food, of any kind, even though a meal was being served. We had to get back in our car, and go hunting for somewhere to eat. Also very disappointed that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend the chateau to other travellers, such a shame because it is a really lovely place.
Beautiful location rich in history Unbelievable value for money Wonderful staff, willing to offer assistance with anything we needed
Everything was lovely. Beautiful building, very pretty rooms, wonderful grounds, extremely friendly staff. We had the set dinner at the hotel one night and went out to La Cave restaurant the other night. Both were very nice. It was a very pleasant stay and a nice way to break up a long drive home.
unique location, superb castle and surroundings, friendly staff, kids were prince and princess
AMAZING!!! I so want to go back to this place for so many reasons...
The lovely historic building
Very high price (after finding out what it was like) No toiletries, no robes, no drinks facilities in room The dinner menu was €32 for three courses with NO choices! Coffee in the Salon de the was instant!! No espresso m/c at €220 per night Apart from the building and grounds you get nothing
Beautiful building in a beautiful setting.helpful staff
Amazing Castle!!! Very clean and confortable!!! Amazing experience!!!
It was a very different experience, stay one night in a Chateau. I'm really liked it makes me turn back years... The decoration is very different and staff is very friendly... I really liked!
Excellent place for rest and relaxation. Walking the grounds are a real treat. Interior lounging areas are spacious and inviting (It felt like we owned the place). Really enjoyed the afternoon tea. Staff and service were excellent.
Though dinner there was a pleasant experience .......the food was only average.
The chareau, the grounds, the gardens, everything!
No tables outside to enjoy the lovely grounds. I understand wanting to sell food and beverages, but ouside tables in conjunction with the food service would have been excellent.
Great experience to stay at a chateau with a beautiful garden. And, small and cozy with helpful staff.
I didn't dislike it, but it's old, of course. And, the restaurant seems understaffed.
The staff were excellent the surrounding were stunning wonderful place.
no tea or coffee making facilities / pool advertised could not be found / breakfast ok evening meal rustic.
It is a real chateau, not a chateau like hotel. But one lives not in the main building, but refurbished stables. Grounds are beautiful.
We had a festival in the property during our stay. I don't fancy having 1000 ppl on the grounds being around from 10 am to 19 pm, when you get charged 320 euros per room and the value proposition of the hotel is quiet relaxation. Worst thing is not that though, but the staff attitude. When I raised this issue, the response I got was that there's nothing they can do and they didnt feel the need to let the guests know in advance. Breakfast is poor and overpriced - its quite pathetic that in France they managed to do a fruit plate, which had nothing local on it. We mostly stuck to eating baguette.
Setting and Chateau experience
Nothing in the room .. no kettle for making coffee, no TV, heating did not work
Beautiful setting! Friendly staff and a comfortable room. Fire in the big fireplace.
Extremely beautiful authentic historic chateau and park. Very comfortable inside.
Restaurant not always open, with no alternatives or support infrastructure in the surroundings. Extremely expensive access by taxi from the nearby city of Tours.
we loved the location and the house was amazing . we were there twice within a week the first night the food was fantastic the second poor
The rooms were terrible very old no heating just very poor for a place that charges top dollar
Good service and very nice place to stay
Everything was ok
