The accomodation is loveley made even more special by the service from Muriel and Pascal. Food is wonderful.
Quality of food, friendliness of staff beautiful Chateau.
We loved our stay: Comfortable rooms, both in the main building and in the manor house just next to it; the area is calm and pleasant; and the fantastic reception of Muriel and Pascal, owners and caretakers of the place. The food was excellent and we definitely recommend the experience of dinner at the chateau (by previous reservation). It is also a very nice location to visit the region of west Loire, and the “Puy du Fou” Park.
Amazing old style room with pictures dating back 100 years with a view from the second floor over the small valley in front of the chateau. Comfortable bed, lovely corner bathroom with jacuzzi batch. We were in a room with a connecting door into our teenagers rooms which was perfect for all parties. Brilliant breakfast with Pascal the owner who was attentative but not intrusive.
Given the style of hotel the walls are thick and therefore the further you go up the hotel the less reliable the WIFI could be which was fine for us but if you had teenage children hoping to use WIFI on the top floor it might be a bit difficult.
Excellent hospitality from the owners, beautiful chateau that has been sympathetically restored with so many original features. Deep in the French countryside and absolute silence when you opened the bedroom windows to the countryside. Very relaxing and with an AMAZING breakfast feast in the morning.
That we could only stay one day.
Nothing was too much trouble. There were so many little extras, bottles of water, lovely tea and coffee, fluffy towels and toiletries and umbrella for rainy days. Fabulous breakfast. I wish we had stayed for dinner, too, as that sounded fantastic.
Difficult to find, as the satnav took us to a disused entrance. Google maps was the best for direction, though there was a farm entrance very close to the hotel entrance. Best to go in daylight. It was definitely worth it when we found it.
A wonderful find and thrilled to be upgraded to the room with the balcony! We enjoyed a lovely walk to the village nearby, frequently looking back to see the chateau from various angles. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and for the latter we were joined by the hosts for aperitifs in the garden and then in the dining hall. Muriel and Pascale spoke English and the wine flowed. A truly memorable stop off!
Brilliant passionate chef, its worth having your dinner there, its practically a dinner party (you need to pre-order 24 hours earlier). Lovely owners. Charming chateau, well loved and looked after. Spacious beautiful clean room and bathroom. We'll be very happy to go back.
That we had only 1 night there.
Our stay here was the highlight of our week, we had a fabulous dinner , with great wine and lovely company. I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely return
Owners were warm, friendly, and went all out to make our stay a memorable experience. Breakfasts were outstanding.
Nothing to not like. The whole experience was like a dream.
The owner made our party feel as if we were staying in her home ... which just happened to be a gorgeous chateau. The impromptu dinner she made for us when we arrived after a long day was served in a cross between a dining room and a great hall, and the fire in the walk-in-size stone fireplace crackled as four of us plus the owner enjoyed an incredible dinner. Conversation was in French and English and the wine and good will flowed. Prices were beyond reasonable.
the flair of an old Chateau
