Chateau De Lacan

The staff were very helpful, and recommended a few wonderful sites for our car trip in the area. The manager spoke English, and was very helpful. The room was immaculate, and we were served breakfast there each morning. We ate in the Envie Restaurant one evening, and found it superb, although it is not for the weak of budget.

There were no washcloths, although there were sufficient towels. The decor, while extremely well designed, was not in keeping with the antiquity of the chateau. That's not anything more than an aesthetic quibble. The location makes this a beautiful place for those traveling by car, and looking for slightly pricey comfort.

Ideally situated for security with a loaded car and the room size was very spacious and comfortable, the staff were also friendly.

Rather lacking in some respect of practical things. The curtains had come adrift at the top and didn't close properly also they were too high to fix.There was no mirror in the room and the light was insufficient for reading, should have had a brighter option. There were no staff around on our departure and after waitng ten minutes we put our keys on the reception desk and left. Another disappointment was that after carefully choosing the hotel because of the details on the website regarding the description of the restaurant, it was closed!

Very pleasant hotel situated away from the centre of Brive - the castle aspect was interesting, the rooms very comfortable

we stayed at Chateau Lacan for 3 nights in June 2009. The hotel is set apart from the downtown area (though still close to all conveniences) and is in a peaceful location. The staff are genuinely interested in your comfort and are extremely nice. What we liked best was the size and comfort of the rooms. The design is very modern and the bed and bedding are top quality. The sane attention to detail is also reflected in the bath products that are available in the room, designer shampoo and soap. The mattress is extremely comfortable and both my husband and I who suffer from bad backs were amazed to see how refreshed we woke up in the morning. We will certainly return to Chateau Lacan, this place makes you want to stay in to enjoy this luxury as much as possible.

La dimension de la chambre , la literie , le restaurant , la position interressante de l'hotel dans la ville.

L'espace et la qualite des petits dejeuners, la salle de bain et sa robinetterie design mais tellement compliquée qui meriterait un mode d'emploi , le chauffage inexistant dans la salle de bain, et pour en finir l'obligation de sortir pour acceder au restaurant et au petit dejeuner; le manque flagrant de personnel.

L'ambiance de cet hotel. La propreté et le confort des chambres. La décoration de l'ensemble et aussi la qualité du restaurant. Tout est proche de la perfection pour un prix "booking" très convenable.

le laisser aller du personnel des chambres, il a fallu que je repare moi meme le rideau de la fenetre, ils ont laisse les timbales utilisees sur la tables sans en remetre des propres ,1 verre pour deux c'est juste. mais ce ne sont que des details qui ne m'empecheront pas d'y revenir

La suite junior et son mobilier sont en harmonie pour un prix des plus raisonnable ainsi que le petit déjeuner du petit déjeuner .Très bonne table et bonne cave
