Domaine de Monrecour  

The hotel is very impressive, a beautiful mansion in a nice environment. The rooms are gorgeous.Spacious and stylishly decorated,with a very modern bathroom. We enjoyed it a lot.Very recomendable.

It is extremely well located. You are at 30 minutes from Sarlat if you wish to experience the local cuisine. You have several historical site closed by which are must see, E.G. Castles, Pre-Historical Cavern with drawings etc... we loved our stay that the castle Monrecour. We would go back again.

Beautiful spot and an excellent opportunity to stay in a castle! With several lovely swimming pools and wonderful views. Close to nice little towns and the river Dordogne. Ideal for couples with kids and couples without (because the more busy swimming pool for children is seperated from the romantic, quiet swimming pool at the frontside).

Complaints? Not at all! But maybe a good suggestion for the staff: we missed a high standard restaurant in the outstanding breakfast room. The current restaurant doesn't have the feeling of a castle and that's a pity.

A spectacular chateau-style building with excellent new external apartments and lots of leisure space, 2 swimming pools, very relaxing and well located for visiting the Dordogne. Staff were marvellous. Breakfast was pricey but very good.

Everything about the Chateau Monrecour is superb. Our room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and the separate toilet was an added bonus. We stayed for four days and the room was made up each day to a high standard. The continental breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food available. Fresh fruit and fresh strawberries for starterswith copious amounts of high quality tea and coffee being available. There was a wide range of bread, pastries and croissants available together with ham and seven different types of local cheeses. Breakfast was served either in the ballroom or on the terrace with magnificant views over the Dordogne with several chateaux also to be seen. Each morning we were given a genuinely warm welcome by the same waitress who was attentive but not overbearing and who appeared to be enjoying her work.We chose to have breakfast each day on the terrace and this gave us the perfect start to the day.

This Chateau can only be described as perfect.

The accomodations for the price were very good. On approach it looked like a large country estate just outside of St. Emillion, France. It had beautiful surroundings, very quiet with option of upgraded rooms and a very classy atmosphere. It looked to be a very relaxing place. I only wish we could have spent more time there.

La situation, le cadre, le calme, le personnel..... L hotel ne disposant pas de restaurant on vous recommande de bonnes adresses à proximité...... Ne pas hésiter à suivre ces conseils.

Agradable y tranquilo

Bel établissement, grandes chambres au tarif normal. Espace et tranquillité. Cadre agréable

La chambre au tarif initial était minable : vetuste, petite salle de bains inconfortable...et des mouches par dizaines. Scandaleux, personne ne peut passer une nuit dans cet endroit. Le tarif attractif ne semble pas répondre à une offre réelle et celui proposé "en remplacement" est bien supérieur. Petit déjeuner (buffet banal et peu varié) et confort salle de bains bien en dessous de ce qui serait attendu dans ce type d'établissement.

Sencillamente muy buen hotel. La propia mansión, sus habitaciones y su situación hacen tener una estancia maravillosa.
