The personal service and care from all members of staff. Excellent cuisine.
WFI connectionwas tricky
Especially dining is a good experience.
Not much, given the weather was helpful.
We stayed here for two nights on the top floor. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We eat in the bistro and restaurant and the food was simply excellent.
You don´t expect much, but right away upon entering, you know this is THE place. They did everything right. Fabulous food and the staff at the hotel first class.
The waiters in the restaurant could have been a little more attentive.
Beautiful setting, very peaceful, staff very attentive
Restaurant overpriced and lacked atmosphere. Unfortunately we had a very gloomy room which was not in the chateau.
Dated badly furnished room Plastic windows ,built in over the bed furniture circa 1980 Ghastly yellow n white bathroom circa 1980 Pool to cold to swim in no changing area Pool area rusty dated not clean No bathrobes in room staff did not comment when they showed us the room then some appeared at 11 pm ?
Stunning setting, clean comfortable bedroom, dinner was a little disappointing for a Michelin star restaurant (we had the 87 euros menu) and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
No outstanding negative feature.
Food service and setting
Stunning views Fabulous food Wonderful pool
Room was dark No robes in room for going down to pool/ jacuzzi.
Everything...sadly it rained so unable to eat outside!
Our room was on the second floor with no lift
We had a “classic room” in the castle for a period of two days for EUR 175 per night ex breakfast. Upon arrival we were guided to the room which was on the top floor of the main building directly under the roof (no lift). The room was very small, hardly any place for our luggage and was equipped with very old fashioned sanitary. The room was very warm but had airco…it was a mobile (!) airco device which was extremely noisy. The same device as I had in my student room 12 years ago (Carrier Holiday…). Sleeping is this room was simply impossible. It was too hot! Switching on the airo did not bring relief as it was extremely noisy. Opening the windows brought some relief, but resulted in a “wake up call”. Around 7-8 am some supply trucks were unloaded under our room and all the noise came in (windows were open). But we were anyway awake at 5am as there were no proper curtains in the room, daylight came in. At 7am the guest in the room next to us started screaming at their kids for an hour or two. The owner did not undertake any action. It became even worse when they started moving their luggage over the wooden floors of the hall ways. It was simply impossible to sleep here. We complained and our complaints were set aside. In the afternoon however, when we came back from lunch, the owner made apologies and offered another room (de Lux type). The room was much better. Gardening works started at 8am in the morning directly under our room. A team was mowing the lawns with very noisy equipment. We decided to leave the hotel directly! We told the owner that we understand that maintenance is required but that it should have started around 11am and at least AFTER breakfast. The owner disagreed. Our stay in this hotel was a true hell and a terrible waste of money. We further stress that the Michelin stared restaurant which was also very disappointing. The food was very old fashioned and taste less. The waiters were poorly dressed and did e.g.
the food the room
This was at the end of our countryside stay and after 4 hectic days in Bordeaux it was a welcome change.
The air conditioning was barely adequate.
comfortable, luxury quiet sommelier friendly & helpful staff
degustation menu far too expensive breakfast quite expensive
The food and the staff
The situation of the property.
The room we had booked was too hot, as it was under the roof, and they didn't have another one at the same rate. We had some tough negotiation to get an upgrade without paying extra, which we thought was very bad service!
Position, attentiveness of staff, excellent food, a lovely few days. Very grateful for the upgrade for our 50th anniversary.
Can not think of anything!
Excellent food and staff
Restaurant was wonderful
Room equipment was a bit too simple, no bathrobe, no sleepers. Could have been more comfy
Quiet location. Good restaurant.
Room was quite dark.
We had a good rate for the room through Booking.com and were upgraded at no extra cost when we arrived.
Only the Michellin Star Resteraunt open for food and the cost of breakfast was far too expensive.
Outstanding location and beautiful surroundings. Wonderful buildings and very helpful and accommodating staff. Michelin-starred restaurant is worthy of its accolade.
Pool apparently heated, but was very cold. Also did not appear to be well filtered (a lot of dead insects and leaves in the water).
Great Hotel. I have been coming here for a long time and it never disappoints!
The standards of excellence throuhout and the welcoming atmosphere from all the staff
Mosquitoes can be a problem outdoors in the evening but aircon in the rooms largely solves this issue at night.
the fixed price dinner was awesome!
that I didn't get to stay longer!
