Location Relaxing atmosphere Friendly Owners and Staff We had a lovely dinner, with other guests, cooked by Marie-Caroline Haas.
Hospitable owners who encourage you to look around. Elegant rooms with fascinating history.
The surroundings, the comfort, the ambience, the friendliness, the bedroom, the house, everything really
The Chateau is beautiful and sits within wonderful and peaceful grounds. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some of their own wine from the vineyard of the Chateau with tapas under the shade of some magnificent trees - excellent! A very good breakfast was served by the owner in the original dining room over looking the garden.
Only gripe was that the wi-Fi connection was not good but no reason not to stay again.
We loved the chateau and the charm and friendliness of the family who own and run it. We loved being able to walk 100 yards to another beautiful venue where another member of the family cooked superb meals for us which we ate 'sur les terrasses'on a warm evening. Beautiful!
Marie and her staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. A very relaxing stay
Location, quality of the chateau
Marie and her staff were fabulous, and the chateau was unbelievable, so much to see the grounds were great just to relax in.
THE WELCOME FROM THE OWNERS, THE BEAUTIFUL ROOMS AND ANTIQUE FURNITURE., THE GUIDED TOUR OF THE STABLE BLOCK NOW USED AS THE "MUSEE DE FAENCE".THE TOUR OF THE VINEYARD LOCATED ABOUT 2KMS FROM THE CHATEAU.A PLENTIFUL BREAKFAST IN GRACIOUS SURROUNDINGS.
It is reassuring to be able to review a hotel that is exactly as described and not as the owners would like you to believe (see my review of Chateau De Siran). The Chateau Rissac is a 200 year old chateau located in a vinyard just outside Beziers making exceptional varietal wines and some interesting blends. The property is maintained to an exceptionally high standard in lovely private gardens ina countryside setting. The Canal Du Midi is a 10 minute drive. The chateau houses a word class collection of ceramics and some wonderful artworks. Our host was charming and caring and not only provided an exceptional breakfast included in the room rate but also took time to give us a private tour of her family's ceramic collection dating from the 16th Century. Wine tasting is available at the chateau's cellars and our host also kindly arranged a private dinner of superb cooking with wines from the chateau within a five minute walk of the property. A very special experience of a marvellous country house and sincere thanks is well deserved to the owners of this wonderful property
We booked for the one night here for some luxury and quiet before starting our main holiday on the busy coast. The host was very friendly and extremely helpful. The large room was clearly decorated with great care and in keeping with the beautiful chateau. A very comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep, and the breakfast in the garden was very good too. We took the opportunity of having an evening meal at the neighbouring property which was excellent, with fresh local ingredients and a warm welcome, with service to match. A lovely start to a busy holiday!
we liked the quietness of where we were but still close enough to the town Beziers. the host was extremely helpful and the meal at the restaurant was delicious.
there was no restaurant, the breakfast was poor
Friendly owner who couldn't do enough for us to ensure a special comfortable stay.
This was an absolutely splendid place and the hosts were very generous and kind. The room was top notch. We enjoyed a special meal on the neighbourgh Chateau, that the host recommended - fantastic
Everything was excellent from A to Z. We had ordered supper the evening of arrival and had a nice meal accompanied by the castle's own wine. Had also an amazing guided tour together with the other guests in the castle's musee de la faïance created by Christine Viennet who herself is a renowned ceramist.
interesting museum of Faience.
Very friendly host. Great breakfast in beautiful surroundings.
A perfect experience to stay for a while in a museum with the family of the property. They did everything to make us feel well. Their hospitality and kindness was extremely sympatic. We will come back!
It was a beautiful experience - something special for us having come from Australia and never stayed in a Chateau before.
