This chateau is a great find and I highly recommend it. Not too far from Amboise or Chenonceau. The staff is very accommodating and all of our needs were quickly taken care of with no fuss. The chateau is a nice mix of old structure and new amenities, located in a beautiful setting. You couldn't really ask for more. |

Chateau des Arpentis has nine guest rooms, ours was beautifully appointed. A kitchen/laundry with top of the range appliances on the guests' floor is nearly ready for use. Breakfast is generous - pastries, bread, jams, yoghurt, juice and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. The grounds were beautifully kept. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The lounge areas are huge, but need some refurbishment to equal the standard of the guest bedrooms. But still very acceptable. For first time guests, a couple of discreet signs indicating where to park and the reception entry (which is at the rear of the chateau) would be beneficial. |

This place was awesome! The reviews were right on the money. It was like staying in a story book. The isolated location made you feel like it was your own personal Castle. The rooms were elegant and simple. What a wonderful place. A great base for easy travel to all the area's Chateaux and Wineries. Oliver is a great asset and a friendly host. |

Very friendly and very helpful staff. The chateau, it's decor and almost everything was excellent. More lights or brighter lights in the room would have been nice but this is a minor comment compared to all the other attractive features of the hotel. |

The peace and tranquility of the location of the Chateau, the pleasant service from the staff. The uniqueness of of the accomodation. An excellent location for visiting chateaus in the area and only 10 minutes by car to the centre of Amboise where there are plently of restaurants The chateau only offered bed and breakfast and no bar facilities. |

Very impresssive chateau, peaceful location and only three minutes drive to Amboise. I would like to have had a bar facility at the chateau, but it was perfect otherwise. |

We liked the location and the environment, excellent for touring visiting, chateaux, gardens and vignerons. The chateau itself is a veritable haven of peace and tranquillity. The rooms are quite spacious and the decor is lovely. The absence of a telephone and TV anywhere adds to the feeling of escapism. The continental breakfast is ample improved by the sound of lovely non intrusive music. There is a large open air swimming pool in a beautiful setting. There is no restaurant which meant that every evening we dressed up to have dinner in a different restaurant-a interesting culinary experience. Finally the host is charming and amazing giving personal service. |

Beautifully restored castle. Rooms are lovely (even the cheaper ones). It was a wonderful 4 days in a great location. Also on a practical note for those on a long holiday there is free guest use of a washing machine and dryer. Not a problem to me but would be to some people is to understand in advance that this is a work-in-progress - so no restaurant or room-service yet and a skeleton staff (but helpful) |

The hotel has been recently renovated with sensitivity and charm. Our room was spacious, with fantastic views, and the whole place oozed peace and quiet. A great base from which to explore the Loire Valley. |

Luxury, peace, swimming pool, atmosphere, gentle but attentive staff No restaurant and not walkable to Amboise (suggest they consider running an hourly minibus there/back during 'peak' hours) |

Pool is amazing, renovations of the castle are not finished yet but impressive. Castle is only 5 minutes away from Amboise's Royal Castle and Clos Luce. Access to the pool through a tunnel under the castle. No restaurant (yet?), no air or fan in the room (a must in the Loire Valley during summer time), grounds are watered every nights during long periods and the sprinklers are quite noisy when window is open. |

The hotel is beautiful, both charming and quiet, and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. It's a great place to simply relax or to use as a base for Loire tours. One of my best ever hotel stays. |

This is a beautifully-renovated and well-furnished chateau offering majestic views of pasture and woods at a very reasonable price. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite offering ample space for us and our 12-year-old daughter. The continental breakfast was very good. We rented a car to tour the Loire valley and this chateau was well-situated to provide a good base. (The St. Pierre Des Corps TGV station just outside of Tours is less than half an hour away so this works well if you're coming by train and renting a car.) The Chateau des Arpentis does not have a restaurant, but the restaurants in Amboise are easy to get to by car and we enjoyed the flexibility to eat at different restaurants each evening. This chateau is probably not for you if you don't have a car or want a hotel with a restaurant. |
