Chateau des Arpentis  

Lovely rural setting with pasture land view of a lake (horse, ragondins). Inside nicely done with trophies mounted on walls. We had deluxe room which was large & comfortable. A little tricky to find if no GPS, but just outside Amboise. Great visit.

Awesome chateau with helpful staff ( Oliver). Beautiful estate and so conveniently close to the town.

Beautiful chateau, very tastefully restored, stylishly decorated rooms, calm, serene surroundings yet very close to Amboise. The staff was very friendly and helpful, yet discreet, very accommodating. A true gem. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

Everything about this property is wonderful. Quiet french countryside elegance! The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the staff is welcoming and friendly and the location is perfect for exploring the Loire Valley. We stayed in the "Hector" suite...it was lovely.

Amazing authentic castle inside and out, stayed in Chambe Rose which was probably the nicest "hotel" room I have ever stayed in. Felt like I was staying in a friend's country manor, amazing views out on to the countryside and the biggest bathroom ever! Olivier's hospitality was impeccable.

The pool does not open until May but you would have to have been brave to go in when it was 5c!

Beautiful huge rooms and grounds. A really lovely feel to the chateau. Great service.

I loved everything. Perhaps a bar fridge could have been useful in the family rooms for childrens milk etc.

Oliver (manager) was very kind and helpful and even put on a log fire for us to share a bottle of wine in front of. The chateaux was beautiful with stunning rooms, all close to Amboise. Would definately stay again.

My finance and I absolutely loved our stay in this chateau. The service was wonderful and our room was lovely. There is a charming billiard room with a fireplace where you can relax with a good book or a glass of wine.

Location is perfect -- staying in a Chateau cannot be beat! The management was also very considerate, as we arrived very late, due to getting lost a few times enroute. They waited up for us and never complained. Beautiful location, too... we could enjoy the green countryside from our window, and even followed (with our eyes) the grazing horse in the pasture. Very convenient to Chenonceau and also to wine tasting in the area.

A chateau setting that was quiet, huge rooms, great petite dejeuner and the host was excellent and runs things very smoothly. Would highly recommend

We selected Chateau des Arpentis because we wanted to experience life as a chatelain for a couple of days while we visited some of the most famous chateaus of the region. We were not disappointed. For a relatively moderate price, you feel like you are living regally. The building is majestic; the rooms are stately; the grounds are lush; the staff is refined. I would recommend Chateau des Arpentis to anyone.

No food available at all besides breakfast. Even here though, they encouraged us to bring our own food and drink to the dining room for an evening picnic indoors.

It was beautiful view of country side and beautiful chateau

There isn't one thing I didn't like about the Chateau. From it's pristine location to the excellent service, everything about Chateau des Arpentis was wonderful. The proprietor, Olivier, was a gracious host.

This chateau really gives a feel for what it was like to live in one of the renaissance castles in the Loire valley. Sitting before a roaring fire in the lovingly restored billiard room sipping wine on a chilly evening is not to be missed. It's located just a very short drive away from Amboise and sits on acres of grass, large specimen trees and woodland. There's a moat and large heated pool. The included breakfast- a big plus as you can get going right from the chateau in the morning and not have to look for (and spend for) breakfast elsewhere, consisted of coffee/tea/chocolate, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh bread and croissants. It can be enjoyed on the terrace, weather permitting. Oliver, the manager, is outstanding and very helpful ( and he lives in the chateau). The room was great, bed comfortable, the view from it hauntingly lovely in the morning.

Nothing, I would stay here again in an instant.

The service was excellent. Oliver was great. He met all of our needs, effortlessly and with professionalism. The chateau is absolutely wonderful. Staying here was a real treat. The rooms are spacious, decorated tastefully, and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious, however a little meat for protein would have been a nice touch. Our entire experience here was well above average. We highly recommend This chateau.

Lovely chateau - sympathetically restored. Extremely comfortable beds and well equipped rooms/bathrooms. Peaceful and lovely views - what a find! Short distance from Amboise and Chenonceaux. Breakfast was very good and nicely served. We were on a 2 week tour of France and it was the best of our stay. We were in the turret and loved it.There is a small kitchen for guests' use which has a fridge and washing machine which was a bonus.

No door to our bathroom - difficult to explain but really wasn't a problem. If there had been a kettle in the room it would have been even better.

Very hard to find. Would suggest some better signage as there is only one small sign coming from the south.
