Beautiful château with a amazing restaurant in the courtyard. Helpful courteous staff.

Unfortunate location between disused factory and sports field.

You arrive to a lovely welcome, and the welcome continues throughout the stay. The rooms are lovely, furnished appropriately for an ancient chateau. The pool area and the gardens beside the river are lovely... in summary a lovely place to stay!

I love it here you just feel like a princess in a castle it's like going back in time I highly highly recommend this 'Castle of Joy' Joyeuse! Also major bonus I had one of the best nights sleep I have ever had those 2 meter thick walls make you feel so safe and secure beautiful

A memorable stay for our last night touring the Pyrenese. Dinner in the courtyard is lovely.

Should include breakfast in the room rate to make it a perfect stay.

Cooking was excellent. The location is quiet with the sound of the river and the cooing of the pigeons.

When it rains, there is no cover available when crossing the courtyard.

    The courtyard for dining.

We felt that the room was very dark.

The staff at this Chateaux were exceptional, nothing was too much for them and they worked as a team. It felt like home from home. comfortable beds, the Owners were marvellous and attentive as well. The dinner was excellent with delicious local produce. The location was excellent as it was close by to all the tourist sites and situated on the goregous River Aude. It was all hands on to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

After the wonderful dinner, the breakfast was disappointing. Coffee not so good as it was standing in the percolator rather than made freshly. We felt it was very expensive for the quality presented.

Wonderful atmosphere and style. Excellent food, garden with pool to walk around.

Breakfast at 14 Euros is a bit steep. No air con in our room.

The building is stunning, built in the mid 16th century and well converted into a hotel combining comfort and original features. Good facilities and fantastic food.

The room could have been a little bigger and 2 chairs would have been nice. The does not change and there are three choices for half board, so not so good for stays of several days. A bit more variety would have been good to sample more of the wonderful food provided

Everything! Truly amazing hotel and food

Lack of air conditioning (although due to it being a castle I think this is probably to be expected)

The fact that it's a castle is a very nice experience of course. Good parking space. Nice breakfast. Didn't have dinner but a menu exists from 33.00 EURO to 45.00 EURO for 3 courses, drinks not included.

Parking space is sufficient enough but not closed during the night. But I guess the risk is rather small.
