Pity the front of the chateau doesn't have more land.

The Chateau is a beautiful place! The location is great in a small city, and just under 5 km. To Rennes le Chateau. The people working in this hotel are all very friendly and helpfull. The best service in a hotel! Very nice dinners in the court, good food!

The room was very small....

The staff appeared to be multi-lingual (for the most part), extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful/make your stay enjoyable. The chateau itself is lovely to behold. My room overlooked the river, which although its flow was quite noisy (through my open window at night), I found the sound very soothing and slept well in a very comfortable bed. The buffet-style breakfast was very good too, though I didn't get around to eating any other meals there.

Slight disappointment at there being no easy chair/comfortable sitting place in the bedroom - only an upright dining-style chair and the bed itself. Also there were no foreign satellite tv channels - well, certainly not English-speaking ones, and no air-conditioning, but there was a portable electric fan.

Loved the ancient building but the stairs could be rather off putting if cases heavy. Was rather disappointed that we were offered an upgrade but without breakfast. Upgrade offered was dark and only one bed when we had asked for twins. So chose twin beds in a very adequate room and breakfast! Not sure what that was all about. Very pleasant seating area within the castle and I believe dinner would have been good. Breakfast was average.

Friendly receptionist. Everyone very friendly and willing. Upgraded to a suite as we were staying longer than a day or two. Very quiet, clean and spacious room with beautiful bathroom. Interesting mixture of people staying from all nationalities. Countryside around beautiful, unspoiled and lots of possibilities for walking, cycling, visitng castles and other places of interest.

From the pictures this Chateau looked fabulous, as a historic Castle it is. But it has a very austere feel which seems to have an effect on most of the staff who felt they had to be very formal and unfriendly. Nobody was interested in helping with luggage up four flights of spiral staircase. The restaurant is billed as gastronomic but we found the food very average, the breakfast offered was pathetic. We stayed in one of the Junior Suites in one of the round tower’s, it’s no fault of the building the room had very natural light and felt depressing. The bathroom had very basic cheap fittings. The hotel seems to cater for events, product launches etc, so a great venue for a conference on prison welfare or launching the latest new technology in padlocks. We were there as part of a holiday and were disappointed by its location, sandwiched between industrial buildings and a sports field. The swimming pool was very small and no effort has been made to create some nice gardens with flowers to soften the look of the place. The most disappointing Chateau and the most expensive out of the five on this trip.

It was fascinating to stay in a castle. A friend suggested we stay there and are very glad we did. Quite the experience.

De revenir et de trouver le même excellent accueil de toute l'équipe.

Tout était excellent.Le souper et le service super.Le personnel et le proprio a l'écoute des clients et très attentifs.Le cadre et les chambres éblouissants.Une vraie vie de château que nous avons adorée.

Muy buena atencion del personal. El castillo es muy bonito y las instalaciones estan muy bien cuidadas: restaurante, bar lounge, recepcion, zona exterior. Desayuno bastante variado. Aceptan perros.

No es apto para personas de movilidad reducida o algun tipo de dificultad en la movilidad.

Tout est tres bien, piscine en cours de mise en place, tennis etc... Restaurant tres bien géré, menus tres bien

Le prix des boissons est impressionnant, vins et blanquettes de Limoux, etc.......

Excellent accueil de tout le personnel, très beaux espaces intérieurs, bonne table, nous avons avons passé un excellent séjour de 3 jours et 2 nuits. Cet hôtel est très bien placé pour les différentes visites des sites cathares environnants.

Typique, bel établissement pour la visite des environs...
