The owner Christine welcomed us, and was so nice and lovely. The Chateau is decorated with furniture and pictures that the owner collected for years, it feels like home, warm and cozy. The family room is big and beautiful and the beds are cozy.
no Wifi in the room
All the deco
Great atmosphere and surroundings. Noby the dog was an excellent guide showing us the wonderful park. Very nice family room (apartment) with plenty of space and super facilities.
Lovely chateau. Tastefully decorated . We were made to feel very comfortable. Beautiful surroundings.
the host,Christine, was so lovely and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. dinner at the chateau is a culinary experience and everything is cooked to perfection, but make sure you are very hungry because there is up to five courses! Oh and let the pet dog bring you for a walk after around the fabulous horses, he won't leave you behind.
Amazing old house, huge mansion rooms, beautiful grounds and building, off the beaten track but still close by.
Check in after 5:00pm
Quiet location. Walks in the grounds
beautiful chateau and grounds, delicious breakfast, charming hostess and our "suite" was actually a fully equiped 2 bedroom private cottage! amazing
We rented the holiday accommodation, for a family (two adults, two young kids). The area itself is lovely, the food (breakfast and dinner) stunning, the premises of the hotel - well taken care of and lovely. The lord lady - nice, good English and friendly.
The holiday accommodation is in a separate building out of the hotel (so all the positive reviews of the rooms in the main building might be right. Don't know). Our holiday accommodation (two story converted-storage-area was unbelievably dusty (we could barely sleep at night, and tried to avoid staying in the room for too long - that bad!). in addition, there was no Wi-Fi in our area (and hardy any outside the main dining room). will not stay again, especially as we paid 200Euro per night (not including breakfast). there are better options for that money around that area.
The lovely dog showing us around the gardens
Loved the Chateau ! The grounds , the buildings and the host were all top notch. The breakfast was excellent !! Location was also close to the main highway Christine was very helpful with giving directions to help us to our next stop . Would definitely stay again.
Wi-Fi connection was slow
Very beautiful place. Great view out of the window (can see over the valley to the other side, including Avranches) and many flowers in the garden. Room is very clean, and the furnitures are quite good. Makes you feel like home. The bathroom is well-equipped as well. Breakfast is decent.
Should've given the house number. I went into another property by mistake. It's far uphill, 8? Took a long time to fill the bathtub because the pressure was low. Check-in too late.
Beautiful building and a lovely massive room with great views.
Christine was very helpful and flexible. No problem accommodating an additional guest at short notice. Christine went out of her way to be help us with anything we needed. Excellent food. Fantastic building, lovely gardens (even in February) with Noby (the very friendy dog) giving us a guided tour.
Lack of wifi
Everything, Christine was lovely and the place was beautiful. Dog friendly, great you can let your dog out to roam the grounds with the owners dog and not worry, Room was huge and had a hot tub. Great breakfast
We were there in late January.on arriving in our room we immediately felt the cold in our room.In fact we had to keep our coats on in order to be able to sit in our room before going for supper. We were hoping to eat at the chateau but were inford that the owner would not cook for the small nber of guests present. On returning from our supper at an outside Restaurent our room was warmer.the bath was dirty but had plenty of hot water which I left in the bath to warm up the bathroom and room.Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
The cold room
We have spent a wonderful time at the Chateau La Rametiere. The staff is very friendly and the dog Noby is just adorable. The place, including the rooms, is spacious, comfortable and beatifully decorated. The place is calm and relaxing and easily reacheable if you are by car. We certainly recommend this lovely Chateau on the way to Mont Saint Michel.
Beautiful old house in an idyllic setting. Breakfast was about as good as continental breakfasts go. (You can't beat a full Irish/English breakfast, but it wasn't bad.) Nobey the dog was very welcoming!
The modern interior of the apartment wasn't in keeping with the age and character of the building, which was disappointing. The internet didn't work in the apartment. The loo was not in the apartment, just outside, which was awkward at night.
I had high expectations for this place and it exceeded them. Incredibly beautiful - both the chateau inside and out, the surrounding gardens, and the view. Christine is a warm and very accommodating host. It's wonderfully secluded but still easy access to Mont St. Michel and other great places to visit in Normandy (with a car). I highly recommend eating dinner at the chateau. Christine cooks and you join other guests (and it's a very good price for a 5-course meal with champagne and wine). I'm recommending this place to colleagues, family, and hope to stay here again soon myself.
Wonderful chateau in beautiful gardens. Christine is a charming host. Everyting about this house is on a grand scale with magnificent decor and great attention to detail. A perfect spot to stay. This one has to be seen!!
Needs to be clearly stated in advertising that there are two towns called Plomb within 20 minutes drive of each other. We went to the wrong one first.
Staff. Owner very helpful. Room. Bathroom. Dinner. Grounds. Chataeu. all wonderful
