Chambre d'Hôtes Château La Roussille  

It was a very interesting chambre d'hotes, formerly a Manoir so the history was a plus. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.

It is a 4 km walk into the old centre of Cahors. There is a bus (route #2) but it only runs until 7:20 P.M.

A large room(suite), wonderful decor and grounds.

Hard to get up the hill - a tricky turn.Too close to the motorway - noise.

The service has been charming, the place has an amazing story behind and just an incredible good taste in the decoration.

Just a little hard to find it. The GPS was not able to track it. But worth to go there, no doubt about it.

The two girls running the place were lovely and very friendly. The rooms were large and comfortable and the recent and older history of the place was of great interest to us.

The description of the place, especially the location, was misleading. The chateau was supposed to be in it's own countryside grounds. In reality, it was close to a major road, so there was a lot of noise, and it was very close to a new petrol station and major supermarket, so that really detracted from the expectations we had before arriving, leaving us, initially very deflated. However, in staying there and especially dealing with the owners, we were very happy with our stay overall.

The lady in charge was very pleasant.

The hotel had been sold and was closing shortly. We were the only residents.(probably the last). There was no evening meals available despite being advertised. Our room was not cleaned or serviced in 3 days, My wife did it. The grounds were very neglected. They should not be taking guests.I am very surprised that bookings.com reccomend it. I feel we should be due a refund as it was not as advertised in any way.

La "châtelaine" a eu la gentillesse d'allumer le feu dans la cheminée d'une grande salle d'angle, très lumineuse, où nous a été servi le petit déjeuner. Les chambres, très vastes, sont meublées dans le style de l'époque (années '30) de construction du château. Petit déjeuner varié et copieux. Une adresse à recommander

Nous restons au Chateau La Roussille pour une nuit parseque nous sommes en route a Provence. Nous voudrons visiter La Roussille encore mais avec en plus des jours. Madame est tres gentille avec nous et Le Chateau a un tres bon ambiance que nous appellons beaucoup. Excusez moi le mauvais Francias mes j'essaye faire. Encore un grand merci, Laura Holmes.

Le calme le cadre,l'acceuil

Et charmerende slotshotel (omend meget lille), møbleret med typisk franske antikke møbler. God atmosfære og venlig betjening.

Adgangsvejen til hotellet er meget dårlig. Bygningen er dårligt vedligeholdt udvendigt. Hvis man vil spise på hotellet, skal maden bestilles dagen før.

Chambre d'hôtes chaleureuse et accueillante, un brin désuète quoique bien équipée et confortable. Mais surtout, un accueil disponible et charmant de la part des deux jeunes hôtesses qui nous ont de plus préparé et servi avec le sourire un excellent repas gastronomique.

Chambre Valentin , très spacieuse, a conservé tout le charme, le mobilier des années 1930 - le diner, seuls en terrasse, dans le jardin du chateau, l'accueil par 2 jeunes filles attentives et modernes

La proximité d'une zone commerciale, mais le chateau, en hauteur est bien protégé par des arbres
