Château Le Barreau (乐巴洛城堡酒店)

Very welcoming hostess, very clean and beautifully decorated. Good value for money.

Small point only ---- no credit card facility.

It gave us the opportunity to stay in an old character building (chateau) in the French countryside. Also, it was not far to drive to either Paris or Charles De Gaulle Airport.

The Location is close to Auxxerre which is well worth a visit but also in the countryside so ideal to relax and explore. It is about 4 hours or so from Calais in terms of planning the drive. The Chateau itself is wonderful, quaint (I loved the original decor complete with creaky floorboards) and simply a loverly setting to use as a base and also to relax. In addition to the above the hosts really made us feel welcome and their command of English was certainly better than my terrible French. The breakfast was simple with enough to eat and we were offered both variety of place to eat and flexibility in timings around our holiday.

Staying here was a highlight of our trip, and was part of a birthday present for my girlfriend. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms were pristine. The view from the balcony over the vineyards was great and we enjoyed taking these in whilst sipping tea. I really really recommend this place!

Our room was lovely, with a delightful balcony, and views of unspoilt countryside. It was particularly nice to have an opportunity to meet other hotel clients before they had dinner. Breakfast was also very social.

We used the Chateau as a stop of on the way back from The Savoie where we had been Skiing. The house is 10 minutes from the main a1 road from Lyon to Paris so is perfectly situated for an overnight stay before the final drive back to the uk. The family who own the Chateau are very friendly, the main house is wonderful and is complete with period furniture. We stayed in a large 2 bed annex which was comfortable and clean but not as well appointed as the main building. However, the Chateau is within 20 minutes drive of Auxerre and, as such, is a great Location to reach out to some of the most wonderful places in the Bourgogne. It's less than 2 hours from Paris. We plan to return.

家族経営のあたたかな応対がうれしい。奥様手作りのジャムが数種どれも おいしくいただけた。周囲がブドウ畑で　　朝食をとる部屋は19ｃのしつらえになっており　非常に豪華な印象を受ける。 suprior ダブルルームだったせいか寝室と控えの間、バスルーム（２名で十分入れる広さ、　お手洗い別室）で３室合計50㎡くらいの広さがあり 非常に贅沢な気分であった。　せめて２泊はしてゆっくり過ごしたい。

階段で最上階（３階）まで登るのは大変だった （スーツケース大３、小１、ボストンバック１、手荷物１）

Fijn dat de eigenaars (goed!) Engels spraken! Mooie, ruime kamer op 2de etage.

Bijgeboekt diner wat karig voor de prijs (25 Euro); ontbijt ronduit magertjes. Beleg alleen jam/marmelade...

Meraviglioso !!! Ho soggiornato nella camera grande al primo piano, con vista sulla tenuta: indimenticabile. Arredi di gran gusto e la più enorme sala da bagno che abbia mai frequentato da viaggiatore ... Prima colazione nella sala al piano terra con ottimi prodotti freschi (pane, croissant) e marmellate maison. Grande cortesia e disponibilità da parte dei proprietari.

Bisogna pagare in contanti.

Vriendelijke ontvangst in een van binnen mooi Chatau. Goede kamer met balkon en wijds uitzicht. % minuten van Auxerre en midden in een wijngebide zoals Chably.

Matig ontbijt, echt op z'n Frans brood en jam.

Le calme. Le parking vehicule ( rare ) l'espace dans la chambre ainsi que la vue et l'acces à notre terrasse privee.
