Very helpful staff (Carole and Tatiana) were excellent who organised chateau visits and tastings and also restaurants in the area.

Breakfast was unexciting with no fresh bread (only pre-prepared) and cold eggs!.

Location . Although no restaurant at the chateau the extremely helpful staff recommended and booked a really good one in nearby Margaux.

The location and the friendly staff

The room was located just behind the road. Therefore we heard the sound of motorvehicles all night long

The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect for visiting the area. A magnificent chateaux with charm. The pool was a bonus after a full day out touring. We also had a tour of the winery with Pierre excellent if you want to know about the wine production.

The staff were super friendly, going out of their way to advise on restaurants and provide maps and itineraries for day drives in the surrounding wine country

Good location to explore the Medoc vineyards. Private parking.

Rooms in the separate building are not very charming and need renovation.

Loved it all - at last I feel as though we have stayed in France and not a 'faceless hotel'. Don't stay here if you want to be in the middle of the action - we loved the relaxed and peaceful setting. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was very large - it had a separate lounge and patio area which was lovely. This was is the adjoining annex and we had no problem with this (like some people had). Stocked fridge in room was very welcome at the end of warm days. Didn't use the pool though it looked very inviting. Breakfast - included!! (my major 'bugbear' that normally you have to add it on) was good (unlike some, we didn't expect cooked breakfast - we were in France for goodness sake!)

No problems - road noise could be a problem for some I suppose though it didn't bother us - it would be a shame to put in double glazing anyway. Maybe coffee making facilities would be nice as there is nowhere within walking distance and only breakfast provided.

We liked having breakfast outdoor, nice view and all. Staff was quite helpful.

They put two single bed, one soft, one firm together to make it "king-sized". Room was quite warm (hot), they put a fan that made a lot of noise. We were in the extension, and it was anything but chateau-like. The most disspointing of all the rooms we booked this trip. That's why we stayed two nights instead of original three nights. Would have opted to stay just one night if they did not insist on charging for minimum of two nights.

It was quiet and relaxing for our group of 4 women. It seemed like we had the facility to ourselves. The rooms were nice and a good size. We liked the outdoor pool and sauna. The staff were very nice.

It was a little out of our way and there are little restaurants in the area, but the staff recommended what restaurants to go to - about a 15 minute drive.
