Château de Challanges  

My family and I stayed at the Château de Challanges for one night. We arrived early and the hotel staff did everything to make us feel welcome and get our room prepared for us. The staff are excellent in particular the recetionist Elena. The location is superb and the rooms are very well kept. I would happily recommend this hotel

Excellent in every respect

An amazing hotel for a weekend at burgundy. Very nice rooms surrounded by a lovely garden. Great location and staff. Highly recommended.

Very convenient as close to motorway but nott too noisy and very close to Beaune.We liked the fact that it didnt have a restaurant as it made us eat at local places of which 3 were within 5 minutes drive and very good.All staff were very friendly and it had a nice atmosphere

Breakfast bit expensive

A beautiful hotel with very knowledgeable and helpful staff, with a fantastic restaraunt recommendation nearby.

The suite we stayed was beautifully decorated and reasonably spacious. Very good location to explore the city beaune and the grand cru vineyards around the area.

It is a wonderful old house, and a beautiful garden. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the lack of a restaurant in the hotel, but Beaune is very close, and there were plenty of good restaurants.

Nice modern room, nice garden, nice pool. Breakfast delivered to the room and eaten in the garden attached to the room. Pool open all the time. Large nice gardens around the hotel.

We had a deal of room+ breakfast. Turns out that the breakfast is a continental breakfast. This should be mentioned when you get the offer for the room. Local calls were not free - at least this is what I was told.

Nice old mansion, extensive park area with outdoor pool, suite with whirlpool, good breakfast buffet (also possible to take breakfast outside, weather permitting).

no restaurant at the hotel, it would have been nice to at least offer some cold snacks (cheese, ham, bread,...) to go with the extensive wine list, or alternatively have a small fridge for own food in the suite (there is a minibar, but no space for own stuff).

Beautiful room and grounds.

Beautiful surrounding, pleasant staff along with piece and tranquillity. A good location for visiting Beaune and nearby countryside.

Would be nice to have tea and coffee available in the rooms.

Pleasant setting in gardens. Great location just outside Beaune and handy for a stopover on a long drive north/ south.

The chalet accommodation in the gardens is not soundproof. Too much noise carries from the adjacent room. We had a bad experience when a crying baby (including a period neglected while the parents sat in the bar) badly disturbed our last day and night's stay and we had to demand a move, which staff/ the owner were initially reluctant to give. Ultimately this is as much a matter of the clientele as the accomodation, but soundproofing is desirable even in normal circumstances.

Chateau de Challanges is in a beautiful French village a short taxi ride from Beaune. The main house is charming as were the staff who could not have been more helpful. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a ply area which the children enjoyed and grounds where you could also relax on a sun lounger. Our quadruple room was in one of several newly built suites in the grounds near to the house with two double beds, finished in a modern, contemporary finish. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace outside our room. We would definitely return!

The hotel has a bar, but no restaurant for meals inthe evening although Beaune with many restaurants is not far and the hotel will help you with a restaurant booking.
