Ease of acess from motorway convenient to eurotunnel beautiful building restaurant and food wae excellent friendliness of staff

What can I say a charmingly romantic evening if you want five star air conditioned hotel this is not the place for you( Stick to Dubai) However if you enjoy a piece of rustic rural French life with chickens scratching around in the vegetable garden and a civilised attitude to fine wine and good food then this is a must visit place. Having stayed at this hotel in 2006 I was pleasantly surprised that its still the same apart from updated bathrooms and TV Just mins from Calais make this an ideal weekend break

Chateau De Cocove is close to the Channel Tunnel and has an excelent restaurant and wine cellar. It is worth the stay just to have dinner.

Some of the rooms are a bit dated and in need of improvement

Superbly easy to access from motorway makes it ideal as a stopping poin before/after ferry/tunnel crossing. Good food and ambience made it feel a bit u market compared with alternatives... At not all that much more.

Lighting in room was quite weak and combined with dark decorate room dark. Also it was a bit cold.

A beautifully decorated 18th century chateau in a nice setting although the grounds require extensive development.

Staff in general unhelpful and unfriendly apart from the male waiter in the evening and the older lady serving breakfast.

nothing really shame about the rain but can not do to much about that thank you.

We have stayed at Cocove many times over the years for short breaks/one night shopping trips. Nicely located in the countryside within 30 minutes drive from Calais. Attentive staff and good restaurant menu.

Wifi connection was lost

Food. Simple comfort, security for car.

Smell of corridor around room 6 ( reminiscent of a care home)

The hotel building is very impressive as are the grounds and surrounding countryside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect and tastefully decorated with modern bathroom. The hotel is full of character. The bar and restaurant are great spaces. The evening meal was delicious and wine selection and advice was superb. Breakfast was also excellent.

The service at the bar was lacking because staff numbers were low as it was a Monday night

excellent food and a pleasant dining room . warm and comfortable bedroom Friendly staff in general The bathroom was too basic. No shower caps no bath robes very few tissues and only one tiny bar of soap

Restaurant was very good with a good breakfast and an excellent dinner. The areas that have been modernised ie the reception restaurant and bar are excellent. Now the bedrooms need to be modernised and then this will be an excellent hotel. Plans are in place for this to happen and we will definitely be returning.
