Château de La Cote

The whole setting was fantastic. Lovely walk to the nearest village. Great that we could take our dogs.

The day we arrived after a very long drive, all we wanted was a simple meal in the evening. Unfortunately the menu cost was 59 euros regardless of whether you only had a main course of 20 euros. I think this should be pointed out on your web site as the hotel is in a very remote area and if, like us, you have been driving all day the last thing you want to do is go out to eat. Needless to say we did not eat at the hotel again, which was a shame as the food was excellent. A bit more flexibility on the menu side would be great.

Not easy to find but excellent location when you do, in lovely countryside with beautiful views. Dinner was excellent, served in impressive surroundings. The room was a good size and furnished with striking pieces.

Breakfasts were not lavish. The drive badly needs repair.

A classic french chateau dating from 14th C. Nicely maintained. I enjoyed sitting in salon thinking of all rhose over last 600 years who had lived there. Service was cheerful and helpful. Excellent dining. I would repeat the experience again.

NO! A wonderful step back in time. I would highly recommend it.

only a very small moan the breakfast was a bit expensive but that didnt spoil our stay at all

great old building - we had a very large room (suite for 3) and large bath.

the decor was not very good - but the size of room and bath made up for it.

This superb castle is set in very large, beautiful gardens and has a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.

The dinner is way too expensive for the quality of the food. There are no other restaurant options nearby.

Very relaxing place to stay with a wonderful ambience.Ideal for those who want to get away from it all for peace and quiet and lovely countryside.

The hotel was much newer than expected having been totally renovated. Dissappointing from a "Chateau" point of view but great to have all new facilities. The very helpful receptionist recomened a local restaurant which was excellent and a must for anyone visiting.

pas de rideau à la fenêtre de la salle de bains ! et difficultés à trouver l'endroit du fait d'une déviation mal balisée

Nous avons décidé, sur place, de prendre une chambre plus chère au château même, qui était très spacieuse, belle et confortable.

Acccueil personnalisé : on nous a accompagné jusqu'à notre chambre. Le personnel était agréable. La chambre était coquette.

Un inconvénient : nous étions logés au 2ème étage et il n'y avait pas d'ascenseur. Ce n'était pas précisé dans le descriptif et on ne nous a pas demandé lors de la réservation s'il était possible que l'on gravisse les escaliers (que l'on a jugé "pentus")jusqu'au 2ème étage.

Le calme et l'environnement sont très agréables, mais un peu isolé, alors qu'il est indiqué comme adresse Brantôme (qui est à 15 Km).

Il serait bon de préciser qu'il n'y a pas d'ascenseur et la salle de bain ne correspond pas tout a fait à un 3 étoiles.

Chambre sobre.

Chambra située à 100 mètres du château en question dans un petite maison à l'entrée de la propritété (liau de grand passage. Chambre très mal insonorisée sans double vitrage ni occultation possible de la lumière du jour donc : réveillés tôt par les va et vient des autres occupants et du passage de voitures, ainsi que par la chambre baignée de lumière dès le lever du jour. Mauvaise odeur avec chasse d'eau défaillante dans les toilettes. Un cloporte trouvé dans la salle de bain... Séjour très peu satisfaisant.
