Château De La Motte Fenelon  

The chateau was lovely in a faded glamour sort of way. Our room was in the Orangerie and was comfortable and very clean but the floor was so squeaky! Apologies to anyone staying below our room. We ate in the Cellar restaurant and the food was superb and staff very welcoming and helpful. We met the Maitre D later in the lounge later that evening and he was so polite and friendly and anxious to know that we were enjoying our stay and whether there was anything he could do for us.

Absolutely no complaints for the price we paid. Only things are - the floors in the Orangerie rooms definitely need looking at if they redecorate as the noise must be annoying for other guests. The wine list in the Cellar restaurant was pretty pricey - least expensive bottle was €29 which is a bit much. Having said that - the recommended bottle was superb. Please spend some money when you can on perhaps repairing the ceiling in the breakfast room and maybe a coat of paint would help all round, just to make it look more up to date and less, well, faded.

The general maintenance oif the hotel is quite bad. Bathroom has to be renoved partialy. Restaurant not bad but quite expensive for the quality offered. Breakfast too expensive. Staff indifferent.

We love the Chateau and the cellar restaurant .

Elegant, luxury at a bargain price. Excellent food

Beautifully restored Chateau, lovely building. Small, intimate friendly hotel. Delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant and very nice continental breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean. Lovely sittingrooms and very nice and well kept (small) grounds. Very enjoyable stay.

Excellent restaurant very difficult to find

The location is excelent, even for passing through.

The state of the room was rather outdated and really needs some updating. Especially when staying at the ''Greenery building'' the bathrooms need a serious renovation.

Accommodation standard sub-standard for price billed as a superior room old cracked and poor standard no tea and coffee facilities a very very expensive mini bar bathroom in need of complete renovation

The restaurant was excellent.

We were placed in the "Orangerie" (annex building) where a wedding reception was underway when we arrived: This made us feel slightl uncomfortable as we had to walk back and forth through the guests.

Lots of parking for Van. Good restaurant, quiet rooms.

We were offered an upgrade to stay in the chateau which we did. Our room was excellent, spacious, well decorated, clean. We thought it was excellent value.We went to the restaurant but it was a limited menu as it was a Sunday night so we can't really comment on the usual standard but we thought the restaurant was very attractive.
