A romantic place, excellent service The restaurant service was perfect and very professional. Our room was very special ,my wife said she felt like a princess we will love to come back soon ! What a great place to be inspired ....

We had stayed in Epernay the town itself the night before but wanted to experience a Chateau and it was very good value and not far away from Epernay so it was quite relaxing to travel there.

We paid for a double classic room in the castle but it was still a very small room and up lots of stairs including a very steep sets of stairs!! Worth taking a smaller overnight bag with a change of clothes in it and toiletries!!

Food was good. Bed was very comfortable.

Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room and the absence of a fridge. Eco excuse seemed a poor reason. If that is the case, then make the price more reasonable on the in room champagne. 15E to take away or 38E in an ice bucket.

Restaurant very formal and gourmet. Would be good is there was also a more casual option for food. Having to pay €18 to access the spa is a real negative.

Been twice and had same room, it was only ok.Poor outlook and very low window. Moat is always empty when we go. Looks a bit tired now. Didn't like the menu at dinner this time. Poor breakfast

Dinner is fantastic, it appears an expensive luxury, but is in fact great value for money. Extra little dishes between courses even on set menus with the best cheese trolley I have ever experienced, make it in effect a Degustation Menu. Great Sommelier too and of course wonderful champagne, including some real local gems to go and buy at the vineyard the next day.

Restocking of room consumables was a bit hit and miss, ground coffee and a cafetierre in the room would be a real improvement.

We have been 4 times before and chose it to celebrate our Golden wedding It is one of our favourite places to stay in France

Location, history & friendly staff. We like this Chateau and have used numerous times for w/ends in Champagne area and on return trip from Skiing in Alps. Restaurant is very goumet, very good and very French.

Prices increasing to point where we will need look at alternatives. Also some removations ongoing (March 2013) with moat drained, some scaffolding and slight paint odours. Fridge & coffee/tea facilities in room would be a welcomed improvement.

Amazing chateau in Etoges! The staff was wonderfully helpful and the accomodations were excellent. Period furniture in a wonderfully restored chateau, and all the necessities like Wi-Fi and flat screen TV's. Tres Bon!

We just loved our stay and are looking forward to go back in Spring and stay a few days to explore the region.

Location Friendly receptionist Quite & Relaxing

Poor selection of food in the restaurant (especially for Vegetarians) Lack of initiative in the kitchen to produce a simple salad as a starter. The waiter's attitude (He told us there were no tomatoes because it was out of season) in the 21st centuary please!! The room had a problem with flies, we had to kill 5 flies in our room. In winter. The drinks room where there was supposed to be a log burning fire was a disapointment as well, the fire was lit but just smoked away with the help of an electrical blower. Not a flame to be seen anywhere. All the guest gave their comments to the fire. Atmosphere is everything, we would have had another drink but the dull fire was a let down.

The food was excellent and the wine list varied and well priced.

The lounges were tired and one person was attempting to cover reception and look after pre dinner drinks; it did not work !

This has got to be one of our top favourite places. It is totally charming and relaxing. Elegant without being pretentious. Superb service from everyone we encounterted.

Fabulous visit. The staff was exceptional. The dinner was absolutely gourmet and elegant. The Chateau was so beautiful - nestled in a quaint village with two champagne houses in walking distance. We stayed in the smallest room available and it was as big as any room in Paris. The roaring fire in the fireplace in the sitting room with a glass of champagne and a chess game was a bonus! Perfect spot!

Beautiful architecture and original features of Chateau. The moat and approach stone cobbled bridge is fairy tale. Quiet rural setting, good service, log fires, good facilities & central for exploring the Champagne region. Dog friendly.
